Why in movie trailers dont they show blood?

In every movie trailer I have never noticed that there is ever any blood.

They want us to watch the movie and they now that there will be blood; why don't they just show us the blood anyway?

Because if there is no blood they can advertise in any time slot/avoid being removed from video sites and so on (I'm assuming).

If you know there's going to be blood in the movie, why do you care about it not being in the trailer?

I assume that movie trailers have to be suitable for all audiences.

Sort of like summaries on fanfiction.net.

there are movie trailers containing blood, but they can only be shown during certain times/movies, if they make one with no blood it can be shown at anytime.

What if children watch they might learn that punching someone has the effect of punching someone.
