I often wonder, is sex REALLY that important. And I'm not thinking this just because I'm a virgin (go ahead make your jokes), but mostly because the reason is just so non-existant. There is no explanation for the explanation.
Why is sex so important.
Because having sex is a milestone in your life, you prove you're a man and an adult. Plus, it's what serious people do and if you don't have sex you're a social lepper. That is the impression I got from the media and the people around me.
It's not really a milestone for men, but it is for women. Hymens. And I read that two ten year olds had sex in school. Does that mean the boy had become a real MAYUN. Plus, what about all the abstinent people who are VERY social, go to parties, have social lifes and etc.?
If the point is not to have sex, but to have a mate, someone to be intimate with, then WHY? WHY all the attention towards sex and not love, happiness, finding one's soul mate. It barely makes any sense.
I think that this sex obsession is the result of the thousands of years of being sexually repressed that we've breaken out only just 40-50 years ago and we need to chill down. Get some control. We're just like a kid who's been denied his favourite toy for a month and a half, when he finally gets it he's worship it, hold it close, not let it leave his person. After a while, he'll cool down and treat it like any other of his toys. Why? Because he got to vent himself out.
Of course, I may be talking out of my ass, but this is the most logical and reasonable conclusion that I could come to using my limited knowledge. But as Delboy says: ''He who dares wins!''
