Okay so I'm confused, is fantasy the classic RPG swords/sorcery fantasy like Skyrim? Or fantasy as in House Party, a sexual romp of pretty dubiously moral sexual perversion?
Dungeons and Dragons.

Damn, did I get warped back to 1984 here?
We're in the middle of a D&D and Tabletop gaming renaissance right now. In fact D&D just had its most profitable year ever in 2017

As for the OP- this just sounds like paranoid, uninformed, conservative finger pointing. Fantasy and magic games have long been hailed as the end times.

How would rural and suburban average people react if a good looking athletic person who plays DnD moved in next door?
It's funny, when my girlfriend and our friend were at my house yesterday for our Monday D&D session we were joking about exactly this in regards to me. We concluded that I am going to begin writing my instructional book - "How to memorize all the rules to D&D, have a girlfriend, and squat 415- a memoir." Keep your eyes open at your local bookstore or digital distributor of choice.

1)Who is this guy, and why should you care, OP. ...And holy shit, yeah, it's a tweet from 6 years ago. Why even bring it up now?

2)How are you sure, that person's negativity stems from RPGs being associated with dweebs that he used to push around in high school, and not from magic, violence, DnD and such being a demonic thing. Seems more a hardcore christian than a jock.

3)Will you respond in your own thread this time? About what you think of answers people provided you?

Yeah, you're making a mistake asking us to explain the opinion of someone who seems to come from a different planet than all of us put together. I'm pretty certain that there isn't a single person in the entire Escapist community who wouldn't shake his or her head at this comment.

If you're lucky, maybe one of us has a grandparent who can relate.

If you're attractive and athletic it means you spend a non-insignificant amount of time to be those things which is time you could be spending to play more games or DnD or what have you and these fandoms tend to be ones where you never have enough time to experience all that you want so what ends up happening is that most people who are in those fandoms will neglect things like exercising to a point that is instantly noticeable and skin treatments at the spa and teeth whitening in favor of simply having more time with their interests.

Due to that, you are not as likely to run into well versed members of those fandoms who are going to be overly attractive or especially overly athletic. It's all a matter of statistics.

All that being said, it doesn't mean you can't somehow just stop being into athleticism and get into DnD hardcore or something and nobody should be prejudiced against someone for such a stupid reason. You wanna judge people by what they say not by how they look.
