A quick description for those that do not know: First from Wikipedia, "Skies of Arcadia, released in Japan as Eternal Arcadia, is a role-playing video game developed by Overworks for the Dreamcast and published by Sega in 2000.[1] Skies of Arcadia Legends, a port, was released for the GameCube in 2002. Legends was also in development for the PlayStation 2; however, the PS2 version was canceled shortly before the GameCube version's release.[3] The game was also scheduled for a Windows PC release in Japan in 2004, although this port was subsequently canceled as well.[4] The game's story focuses around Vyse, a young pirate in a Jules Verne-inspired fantasy world, and his friends as they attempt to stop the Valuan Empire from reviving ancient weapons with the potential to destroy the world." Next from me, It's a fun turn based JRPG with ship to ship combat and a decent story.
Now, I originally owned this game for the Dreamcast in the olden days of yore, about three years ago I got the Gamecube port Skies of Arcadia Legends. I have played this game many times as you might imagine and through the course of repeated playing I?ve come to notice some things?

Why are there no black people in the fine world of Arcadia? There are Asian people in the land of the Blue Moon Yafutoma, Arab people in the Red Moon nation of Nasr, Indigenous people in the Green Moon continent, and of course the White European folks of the Valuan Empire. Now, I?m not claiming this game is being racist with the exclusion of black people, it just strikes me as odd that a game that seems to frown on European colonialism would exclude a facsimile of Africa. The continent and the tribes that resided in it played a vital role in European expansion in the New World.
So Escapist users what gives? Why no black people? Or did I just miss them and they are there?
