25GB disc capacity with a read speed of 22.5MB/S

2 models for Japan launch of December 8th
White: 25k yen before tax, 8GB Flash, HDMI cable included
Black: 30k yen before tax, 32GB flash, Premium model, HDMI cable included
Extra controller: 13k yen
NSMBU: 6k yen
Nintendoland: 5k yen

Also announced was Nintendo Network Premium. A reward system for premium model purchasers where you get 10% of your digital purchases back until December 2014 along with some accessories.

The price sounds good, but what's with the tiny hard drive? The split RAM doesn't fill me with enthusiasm either.

Total ram is what i was expecting, wasn't expecting such an equal split, i'm guessing about 1/3 of that OS ram is reseved for future updates as the online service evolves.
