Ok, I know it's Fox, and therefore less reliable than a drawing letters from a bag to get an accurate story, but what do you guys think, has Fox gone just a step too far in the direction of tabloid journalism?

For those too lazy to read the (very, very, very stupid) article, the first paragraph gives a brief summary:
"Wikipedia has become home base for a loose worldwide network of pedophiles who are campaigning to spin the popular online encyclopedia in their favor and are trying to lure more people into their world, an investigation by FoxNews.com confirms."

By confirmation, they mean the chat boards.

Edit: sorry, I accidentally posted this on the gaming board...

Hmm, I did notice a disquieting amount of discus on good van parking spots when I was looking up approaches to code optimisation.

Heh, they have to compete with a certain fast-food franchise that used to have a clown as their lure on that one!
OT: Don't know if it's true or not, but surely there are people at wikipedia that will keep an eye out to prevent these kind of things to happen, I hope?

Why won't FoxNews die? Really, why won't it?
Because Rupert Murdoch is, in reality, Nazgar the Everliving, the scourge of the lands of men, the eternal sorrow, the shadow lord of fallen Atlantis.

He can't die, he can only destroy.

That summery should have the following added onto it: "And by confirmed, we mean that we really, really, REALLY believe it's true with all our hearts." Anyways, I don't watch/listen to the news most the time anyways. It's only depressing anymore and I have enough depression already.

Because too many stupid people believe the garbage they roll out daily.

Not that any other channel is much better. The history channel, discovery channel, etc aren't completely factual. At this point the only thing I watch is cooking for new ideas.

How exactly does an internet encyclopedia equal a pedophile site?

Fox news just pisses me off, jumping the gun at anything that pisses them off. Even things that really make no sense.

Tell me about, I sometimes feel History Channel should be called WW2 Channel...

This calls for something beyond the realm of face-palm... Yes, gentlemen (and women) this calls for... A face-desk!

I mean seriously? Must've been a really slow news day or a reporter wanted was being fired and wanted to go out with a bang.
