Will the world ever accept another white rapper?

Im saying this not to be racist, but to point out the problem I have with rap itself. Why is it there can be 1,000 black rappers talking about the same things (ie Flashing cash and getting that ass) and no one cares, but then a white guy other the Eminem trys to rap about anything he is immediately associated with trying to be an other Eminem? Rap has so much potential but few know how to really dig deeper then what we have heard hundreds of times, and it wouldn't even be that hard.
I am a white guy who has grown up with rap + rock and love rap with a passion. But I dont want to show the world what Ive got if they wont look past my color and assume Im trying to be something Im not. So in ur honest opinion whether you like rap or hate it do you think the world is ready to have white rappers other then Eminem or we doomed to have only one?

EDIT: Seriously. Im embarrassed that anyone even considered Vanilla Ice. He only had 1 hit! I dont even think he even wrote it or used his voice. This is exactly my problem. Why can't everyone make rap out to be a something more changeable? Its like saying water can only take a shape of a square.

I think one will come... I don't know. Eventually I feel that even black rappers will appear to be just 'another black rapper,' seeming to be one of the crowd... but maybe thats just because I haven't been following rap.

Eh... I really see your point. I have no answer.

Because Vanilla Ice has already done everything a white rapper could ever dream of accomplishing both artistically and popularity-wise.

EDIT: YES I HAVE BEATEN SOMEONE TO THE PUNCH!!!

The word you meant to type is 'accept', it is very different from the word 'except' and getting the two mixed up is quite bad for the literal meaning of the sentence.

I'm not a huge rap/hiphop fan but I've always been disapointed that Aussie hip-hop artists like Hilltop Hoods and The Herd haven't been as successful as they should be overseas.

Seriously The Calling and The Hard Road, you'd be hard pressed to find a lot of American albums better than them.

I used to really like Aussie Hiphop simply because it wasn't about the cash, hos, gats etc.

Aussie hip hop has embraced white rappers... not just white, but Asian, Lebanese, Greek... If you want to listen to some decent songs youtube "Drapht," "Hilltop Hoods," "Bliss and Esso."

I know Australia isn't the world, but if it could happen here, I suppose the world could come to love it. Aussie hip hop is a lot different though.

There are some good white rappers besides Eminem, but most of them aren't mainstream. Which in my opinion is better anyway. Not being in the limelight gives them the opportunity to rap about real things, instead of the mainstream rap bull that's out there today. I've really been into Vinnie Paz lately. His new album with Ill Bill, another white rapper, Heavy Metal Kings is awesome. Diabolic is another one of the ones I enjoy. Rhyme Asylum, a (white) hip-hop trio from London, is sick. Aesop Rock is another white rapper, granted his rhymes are a little out there.

I understand what you mean by only one being able to "sit on the throne," but personally I thing aiming for the mainstream, while possibly profitable, is a bad idea. Mainstream rap is as bad as it is because rappers are forced to rap about stupid shit just to make sales. I say go for it, but don't aim for the mainstream on purpose. Rap how you want to and about what you want to and you'll be more appreciated.

although kinda bisides your point, most Spanish rappers are white. There are only a couple of black ones. You might not know about them cuz spain is relativley small compared to the usa, and our things dont cause such impacts, but spanish rappers they are amazing

I'm a Caucasian who hated rap until he heard the likes Will Smith and Eminem, using rap for comedy and for serious issues that don't involve "blowin' ur whore's head off with a gat".

If another Caucasian came to do comedic raps or dealt with serious issues using rap I'd listen to them and decide if I liked their music, if not then I'd still respect them...however if it's utterly puerile, about "blowin' ur whore's head off with a gat", or just completely wank with no redeeming features then I shall grab some rotten tomatoes and pelt away.

I'd say yes there is room in our hearts to accept any rapper from any culture...so long as they're good and not a complete wanker.

There's quite a few "accepted" white rappers actually. Look at Chris Webby, he's unsigned and has over 10,000,000 views on his YouTube videos. There are others too, like Asher Roth, Mac Miller, etc.

Try Butterfingers, or if you're into real geeky stuff, some nerdcore hiphop like Mc Frontalot or Optimus Rhyme.

My favourite rapper (colour independent) is Scroobius Pip. With a background in spoken word his tracks are insightful and intelligent with Dan Le Sac cutting up some great beats, here's a taster of their two albums:

Angles: http://listen.grooveshark.com/playlist/Scroobius+Pip+Vs+Dan+Le+Sac+Angles/18410699?src=5
Logic of Chance: http://listen.grooveshark.com/playlist/Dan+Le+Sac+Vs+Scroobius+Pip+Logic+Of+Chance/27192323?src=5

Seen them live twice too and they never fail to entertain.

apart from Eminem, there are a few other white rappers that are pretty well known; lady sovereign, Example, that guy from the streets, probably a few more but that's all I can think of off the op of my head.

There will always be new rappers, and some of those will probably be white, and a couple of those might make it, every now and then.
