I'm pretty neutral on this. I still have yet to see the first Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie despite loving the book as a kid and I personally felt the Tim Burton remake was okay at best.

This is one "franchise" I'll be skipping, I had no interest in the Tim Burton version either.

If enough people skip, maybe eventually these studios will get the hint that not everything can be a mega, multi-movie universe.
