I have a pair of 768MB 460's (drivers are 270.61) displaying at 1650x1080, and set (in game) at "high spec." The odd thing is the game's shadows are dithered (dot-dot-dot instead of a darker color). So far, no setting changes have helped, so here I am.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Not having played The Witcher 2, but it sounds like that's just how they implemented their shadow system. Mass Effect 1 uses a similar shadowing system, if I recall correctly it's called modulated shadows.

It's used as a cheaper shadow system compared to regular shadow map generation, which is especially useful when you factor in dynamic shadows which gets super costly when having multiple lights in a scene.

thanks for the response.

I guess that makes sense since the outside environments have TONS of reflections. You get used to it, and it doesn't make the game any less vibrant, but it is something ...to get used to.
