Alright, that title propably made you go: "What kind of emo kid would ask this question?"

Harr harr, very funny. No, I'm not here because I'm a "lone wolf without remorse that who tears of blood" or anything. I'm just genuinly curious. People have since the age of swords and sandals described love as "butterflies in your belly" or other such nonsense used to describe what sounds like gas. Now, I'm not going to try to tell you I've never liked girls. That's clearly a lie. I've liked a lot of girls, they might not have liked me but hey, what can ya do? Dem genetics rite :/? What I've never felt, however, is some kind of "special feeling" for anyone. It's so alien to me infact, that I'm having a really hard time even imagining the emotion. Could anyone please, for the love of toast, tell me what is up with this apparently gas inducing, hallucinogenic emotion? I realize that, like any emotion, it's different to everyone. So just answer what it feels like to you.

Now I need to go do something less cuddly, because I suspect this thread has the potential to make me cringe.

*a-hem* As`I was saying, it's both the most wonderful and worst thing there is in the world. The best because that one person just makes you happy, and crap that they may do that would normally make you want to slug a dude, you put up with because you deeply care about them. To get cheezy, they complete you.

It's in turn the worst because the loss of that person, the harm that comes to them hurts more than anything else. And the loss of that love has brought many to madness.

My boyfriend, I love more than anything because he's so nice and sweet, accepts me for who I am, helps me when I need it, and is there when I'm very down. Even though he can be a bit of an ass sometimes with his bullheadedness, the leaving the dirty socks everywhere, and the constant asking for *cough* *cough* mmblhimmmffplgh... *cough*

Easiest description? Its basically that same wanting you get from sexual desire except with the warm fuzzies you get when your Mommy hugged you when you were little.

Its a little different for everyone, but to be cold and technical about it. If you are around an individual long enough and you like them you grow fond of them. Your body responds to their presence and reactions to you with dopamine. This is the bodies reward center (its the same chemical that is triggered when using many illegal drugs) and its triggered because its natures way of getting you... well addicted to that person. It makes you lust for them, feel sick when they are not around, get a high when they get close to you, etc.
