Words you love....words you hate.

Today, my friend said he hates the word "vegetable" because it sound too aggressive. This got me thinking about words in general. Which ones do you like, which do you not?

I love the Swedish word Blåbär because it just looks and sounds nice.
I hate the German work Fleisch because it sounds disgusting and reminds me too much of Flesh.

Which ones do you like, which do you not? Any language, any word!

My least favourite word? Hur hur "responsibility" hur hur dur!
Serious now: Today I think it's "hypocrisy". It's a spitty kind of word and I don't like it in people. But I can't think of a word that's my all time least favourite word.

I absolutely hate the word "Several," because it doesn't mean 7 of something. It just means any number over 4 to most people. It's practically got the word Seven right in there, so why the hell doesn't it mean seven?!

Also, my newer group of friends use the word "Merk" as a new version of "own/pwn" basically. I don't like it at all because to me it sounds very negative, yet they use it positively. Always have to think about it when it's said because I always thing it's bad first. I just hate the sound of it and the context it's used in.

The best word in the english language is "Awesome." I love it.

"Vespertine" and "Crepuscular" are some of my favorite sounding words. Others would include "matrix", "elation", "mentality", "coalesce", "dissonant" and "sentinel".

Some words that irritate me to no end are "shawty", "swagger", "slizzard", "scald", and "smog".

I hate long words that have shorter synonyms and the people that use them.

I also hate the word excuse, not because I hate excuses, but because people are so quick to slap that label on anything you have to say about anything. They don't seem to get that there are excuses and then there are just reasons.
