Football, you mean?Radeonx said:I don't really follow soccer, but I suppose I'll support America, because I don't really care about anyone else.
Well they couldnt go back and change the decision, could they? Would be uproar regarding other games. I don't see mexico going far, they lost to a pretty shabby england on monday.Jesus Phish said:Mexico. All my friends seem to think I look mexican. They also have the best food in the world. They're also in Frances group and will hopefully knock them out, or at least cause injury to Thierry Henry for his actions.
I'm from Ireland and we got knocked out by France in a horrible decision by the linesman, ref and FIFA (you can cheat as long as you're not caught right away).
Argentina. Hmm, don't see them going past the quarter finals.D Bones said:I've always been a huge Argentina fan. I was pulling for Messi and Tevez last world cup when Messi was 18. I'll still be pulling for them.
And, to be a homer, I've gotta pull for the USA. Bring the hate.
That's cool, you can support us as we wipe the floor with the USA in our opening game.RangerSERE said:Yes! Im so pumped about this. Ill be following: Spain, Brasil, England, Ghana, and my sleeper pick Holland. Im american...but for some reason i really dislike our soccer team.
Well, last time they got through the group stage, and then lost 1:0 to Italy after a controversial penalty, I think it's hardly "getting slaughtered".ottenni said:Lest go Australia! Lets not get slaughtered!
An English friend of mine claims that Capello managed to finally get all the primaballerinas to work as a team, so it might indeed get interesting. On the other hand, don't they always say that?Pariah87 said:Yeah I'm pretty much obligated to have unrealistic hopes for En-ger-land!
My opinion of most African teams is that they have very skilled players with great technique who suddenly become crap when they close in for the shot... It's just a bit weird seeing a team which can easily get the ball into the penalty area and then passes it around, unsure of who should take the shot, until the defenders take it away.Quite interested in watching some of the African teams though.
