But that's just it though. I understand the nostalgia appeal, hell I still love DBZ, it was one of the best things ever to me, but I know it isn't good at all to anyone who hadn't grown up with it.rottenbutter said:

Is there anyone here who has watched DBZ for the first time recently and didn't grow up with it? And if so did you like it and dislike Naruto?
EDIT: And I hope to god you didn't go into those shows (Naruto, Bleach, DBZ, One Piece etc) expecting a political masterpiece, which I am starting to think some of you lot are.
Think of it like this: The more mainstream something is, the more opinions it is going to have about it. Not a lot of people complain about the goodness/crappiness of lesser known shows, they've probably never seen them. But when it comes to more popular shows, more people will have seen them, meaning more people will love/hate themChromeAlchemist said:

My vote is for naruto and Inyuasha. Not because they were 100% shit(both have a few redeeming qualities), but because of what they did to the community. As if anime fans weren't already socially ostracized enough, we have to get people walking around with fake tails and leaf village headbands.
As far as being 100% shit, beyblade. So damn generic with horrible voice acting and art.
I liked cowboy bebop, Fooly Cooly, Trigun, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Looking at that list, I think I might have a thing for random stories.

The worst anime ever? G Gundam. People say Gundam SEED ruined the series, yet they forget that G Gundam Gundams were barely even Gundams?!! It really was just too out there for me, even though I had the easily influenced mind of a child, I could still tell it sucked.
But the best? Bobobo-bo-Bobobo for its sheer randomness. I also think it was one of the few shows that didn't have an extremely noticeable decrease in quality in the English version (though the Japanese manga was still the best)
