"Hello, KC. I left my glasses at home by accident today. Let's just sit you down... alright, now I'm going to put on some laughing gas, okay? Alright... let's see here. The Chlorine tank is blue-green... the Nitrous Oxide Tank is supposed to be Aquamarine.

Having my wisdom tooth pulled. It was my last session before turning 18 (the dentist is free of charge here until then, and a quick scan of my mouth showed that one wisdomtooth was going to grow out crooked or something. So I got it pulled before it even started to show. That was the worst pain I have ever experienced. Being very awake for it, and I don't really think the meds did their thing properly either, because I could feel everything, and the damned thing took an hour. :S I cried like hell, even screamed at times, which of course didn't help the surgery at all...

Without exception, my dentists have been pleasant, skilled, and deserving of the shitloads of cash they make. One of them liked country music, though, so minus points for that.

I had a cavity filled.
Dentist puts a big ass needle in mouth mouth. Leaves the room for ten minutes. Comes back.
"Numb yet?"
"No"
10 more minutes.
"Now?"
"No."
Another needle, in my yet to be numb cheek.
Repeat from the top.
After a third needle, the dentist must think I am lying. Perhaps I am a drug seeking 10 year old? So the man starts drilling. I feel the whole damn thing. Drill on nerve ending = hurts like fuck! The best part? Fifteen minutes after I leave the dentist, my entire face goes numb, all the way up to my hairline. If you have ever had Novocaine you know what that means. Three hours later my face feels like someone is playing a game of centipede underneath my skin. Most unpleasant.

When I was getting one of my back teeth filled, they hit a decalcified spot they were unaware of and my tooth split in half. I thank Christ every day they'd already given me Novocaine. They had to give me legitimate pain killers after that. While having your tooth split does suck, being able to trip balls as a result is pretty fun.

A few weeks ago, I had to get two fillings. The numbing agent didn't work, and dad told them to go ahead anyway (he hates me) So I had to get 2 fillings done, feeling everything.

Haven't had one yet. I have been really lucky and haven't had to have any work done. I am getting my wisdom teeth extracted in March though just with freezing and I am pretty sure THAT will be my work dentist moment.

One time when I was getting my teeth check, my dentist pulled the huge light towards me. But it broke off from its wires and landed on my knee and shattered. That I thought, that was going to be over my mouth!

"but what was your worst moments with going to the dentist?

Me? 2 words: oral surgery."

I hope I'm not the only one who laughed at that.

Anyway, being hygienic I never have any problems when I go to the dentist.

I do ALWAYS want to laugh when they're poking about though, which really isn't a good idea when you've got a very sharp needle-thingy poking around in your mouth.

- When I was 6 years old, I chipped a few of my teeth. The dentist attempted to fix this by making a 'covering' - this was basically just melting a piece of plastic to my teeth using a laser. He tried something like 3 times to get it to work before my mother just told him to forget about it

- When I was 7 years old, it was discovered that I had an extra tooth growing high up in my gums. I needed surgery to have it cut out, and walked around with stitches inside my mouth for about a month.

- I had to get two teeth pulled when I was 15. The teeth themselves were perfectly healthy... for baby teeth. I had no adult teeth to replace them, so they needed to go.

- I had braces put on when I was 14. They didn't come off until I was 18. As a result, I didn't go a single day in high school without braces. During that 4 year period, I had the stupid things damaged in just about every way conceivable.

- And of course, I had all three (yes, three) of my wisdom teeth removed when I was 19

Strangely enough, though, I've never had a cavity.

I once had a molar come in through the roof of my mouth, they removed it via hammer and chisel and a pair of plyers.

I am not makeing this shit up, I had a hole in my mouth for a week, and there is still an indentation where the tooth used to be.

Probably when I got my wisdom teeth pulled... It ruined Portal for me (I got it the same day that I got them pulled, and I feel I didn't enjoy the game as much as I should have because of the pain). That and the aftertaste of the Novocaine lasted for days.

I, unlike almost everyone else, could care less about going to the dentist.

I always get told how wonderful my teeth are :D.

Well, I was getting my teeth drilled and I was like "urg" and they were like "you shouldn't be feeling that".

Kinda... sucked.

The dentist I usually go to has TV screens on the ceiling so the patients won't be bored while in the chair. What's fun is getting stabbed in the gums several times and tasting blood in your mouth while the dentist watches The View on said screen. I'm not usually have a problem with dentists, but when they're shoving pointy objects into my teeth without paying attention, I get a bit nervous.
The TVs actually make me paranoid, I always think they're gonna fall down on my face
