So I recently viewed an episode of one of the most beloved TV shows of my childhood, Spongebob Squarepants. Unfortunately, that episode happened to be the Krusty Krab Training Video, otherwise known as 'that episode where 'POOP' is an fast-food acronym and you don't actually learn the Krabby Patty secret formula at the end'.

I didn't even watch 2 minutes of it before remembering how bland and stupid the episode was and switching the channel. Now, Spongebob isn't my favorite show, but it was (emphasis on that word) one that I really enjoyed, and thus a thread topic was born.

So Escapists, title question. The episode doesn't necessarily need to be bad, just your least favorite in a show you otherwise really enjoy.

Well, there's the entire ninth season of Scrubs, but that was all just a horrible dream I had one day.

Oh, not so much a "worst episode" thing, but when they introduced Dr. Miller in Season 3 as a sort of female version of Dr. Cox but then went nowhere with it and dropped the character shortly afterward.

That episode in Airwolf where they kill off the two lead characters and replace them with a bunch of lame nobodies. After that, it went from being an awesome series about helicopters and air warfare to a shitty and boring non-helicopter action series.

Community has the episode with the high school kids. You're supposed to hate them, but I hate them so much that I can't watch the episode. Oh, and the episode with Jack Black as well.

Arrested Development has the Maggie Lizer episodes. I'll watch them, but I don't like them nearly as much as I do any of the other episodes.

There's the 9th season of Scrubs like shrek mentioned

House...it's probably one of the earlier seasons with the woman (Jack Bauer's wife in 24 if that helps) who hears voices or something. I didn't really enjoy that at all.

"I've Got Batman in my Basement" from Batman: The Animated series. It's about a couple of dorky kids defeating the Penguin in a variety of stupid, Home Alone-esque ways.

"House Arrest" from M*A*S*H. The second half of the episode consists mainly of tasteless rape jokes. Even the producers admitted years later that it was a "what the hell were we thinking?" moment.

"Sophist Boy Has Captured the Prince" from Fruits Basket, on the account that Hiro's a dick.

"Griffon the Brush-Off" from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, on the account that Gilda's a dick.

"Dummy of Danger" from Garfield and Friends. Not because it was bad per se, but because they played that episode to death during reruns to the point that I became thoroughly sick of it.

I remember 'The Message' in Firefly being a real stinker. It all revolved around Mal being too bloody stupid to explain his plan to the person at the centre or it.

I don't remember the names of the actual episodes, but Battlestar Galactica went to shit toward the end.

Doctor Who: "Love and Monsters" Just what the bloody hell were they thinking?

MLP: "The Crystal Empire" Not as bad as people make it out to be, but it was my least favorite out of the show.

Arrested Development: "Ready, Aim, Marry Me" Just really not that funny.

Firefly: "Objects in Space" I just didn't really get Juble Early as a villain. He would act like a cold-blooded killer one minute, and then a bumbling fool the next.

What?!
That's the best episode of the series dude. And the best character.

It's not a bad episode by any means, I just didn't enjoy it as much as the others.

Most of the second season of the Walking Dead was meh, some episodes were downright bad.

Battlestar Galactica messed up most of the major character changes in the fourth season pretty badly.

I remember the last episode of Seinfeld being one of the most disappointing episodes of that show.

EDIT: Also The Legend of Korra was just completely boring when the focus was that love triangle cliche.

Battle Star Galactica, there were a few rather annoying filler episodes, generally any of the flashback episodes, or the one with the news interview where nothing happens plot-wise till the last couple of minutes. I never really got around to watching the last season though. It was like I just suddenly got bored.

Even the villian in the movie seemed like a bit of an offshoot of him, just less loopy. Or maybe I'm just racist because they were both black. Who knows.
I didn't really see too many similarities, so I guess that means you're racist because logic.

I'm so sorry to break it to you, dude.

What? That's one of my favorite episodes! It's got POOP! And hoopla! And Spongebob being a bigger spazz than usual! And that voice over is just hysterical.

Also, TNG . . . worst episode is the one where Worf turns into an ape and bites people.
WHAT?! That's a personal favorite! Sure it's preposterous, but it's Star Trek! It has Neanderthal Riker! Troi-toad! Worf going berserk and finally clobbering everybody on the ship! Barclay's Protomorphosis Syndrome! I love it!

I'm gonna say, Babylon 5 - Season 5. Oh too easy?
Yes, too easy.

Okay the episode in season 1 where the space, oh wait, no season 2? Anyway some sort of symbiotic aliens latched onto peoples back and then Dr Franklin and the Ranger guy get captured or something and in the end it turns out that the aliens are historians and the people are all bums and volunteers. Worst episode of the series.
Hard to argue with that one. That was extremely dumb. I can't remember what the other plot was in that one, but it couldn't have saved the friendly-body-snatcher-nerd part.

Does Sherlock count? They seem more like TV movies than episodes of a show... Regardless, I don't seem to get why a lot of people seem to like The Blind Banker. I thought it was rather uninteresting compared to the rest.

Of other shows: "Dragon Quest" of MLP and the first damn episode of Game of Thrones.
Dragon Quest was cliched, boring and offensive to dragons, which are the best things ever.
The first episode of Game of Thrones consisted mainly of dialogue between characters I hadn't had any reason to care about yet about nothing that's particularly interesting until you know the characters.
