The title pretty much says what I'm going for here. For me, the movie is easy.

I've seen a lot of shit movies. Jason X and the entire Friedberg and Seltzer "___ Movie" franchise come to mind immediately. However, Jason X was funny, although I can't tell if it was intentionally funny or not. That doesn't really matter, it was still funny. The ____ Movie franchise isn't funny, it's shit, but at least it doesn't make me want to harm myself and others.

No, the worst movie I've ever seen by a million miles is Project X. Nothing even compares. Again, I've seen movies that are way more incompetent in execution, but no other movie has ever made me angry. Like really, seriously angry. All of the characters are shitheads. The motivation of the characters is stupid as all hell. The glorification of drug abuse and what I honestly sort of think is an actual case of misogyny in film all contribute to making it the most repulsive movie I've ever seen.

All of that is, however, swallowed up in the black hole of human misery that is Costa, played by Dominic Cooper. I have never, and I repeat NEVER seen a character in any work of fiction as intensely unlikable as this "dick in a sweater vest", as some reviewer once called him. He is a spoiled, soulless, borderline sociopath giant bird shit on the windscreen of humanity. I've hated characters before in movies, but they have always been ones that I was supposed to hate. You know, villains. In this case, however, the makers of this movie had the balls to try and make me root for this human anus.

Despite being a comedy, the movie is vile, vicious, mean-spirited and astoundingly unfunny. It has absolutely no charm whatsoever. It's about as likable as a malignant tumor.

Seriously, someone tell me I'm not alone in this?

GAME

This one is a bit boring, because I don't really have a gaming equivalent of Project X. I've never played a game that made me as depressed and angry. I have tried out Ride to Hell, but despite being terrible, I didn't hate it because it was so goddamn funny.

As a consolation prize, I'll just say that the most angry and irritated I've ever been because of a game was the ending of Mass Effect 3. Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I think "take back mass effect" or whatever the fuck that thing was called was probably one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in my entire life. It's the developers choice to do with their franchise as they wish. However, I still retain my right to think that the ending was stupid as shit. It came awfully close to ruining my entire memory of that series.

Anyways, your turn!

The worst movie I've seen is The Doom Generation.

Imagine Natural Born Killers and Pulp Fiction as written by an emo 14 year old, with attrocious acting and dialogue, horrible editing, symbolism about as subtle as a train to your face, unlikable characters, nonsensical story (if there even was one), and graphic content that's more hilarious than disturbing.

As for games, I don't play many truly awful games. I did recently buy the DMC HD Collection, and played DMC2 for the first time. Man, anyone who says the reboot is the worst DMC game is fucking kidding themselves.

I'm always conflicted with this question for do I go with the movie that did some stuff right but cocked up most of it (so you see the potential squandered) or do I choose just the worst movie ever?

I'll do both because that's how I roll (also, I'm skipping game for I generally don't buy any bad games. I've bought games I've been disappointed in but that's usually my fault)

Worst movie: Anything by "ASYLUM" pictures (seriously, anything)

This is the mockubuster company ("Atlanta Rim")/shitty sci-fi movie (Sharknado) company that shits out cheap movies one after another. Their movies are always horribly acted, horribly directed, with horrible effects, horrible stories, and horrible everything. They're not "It's so bad it's good!"; they're just really really really shitty movies.

Worst movie that did some stuff right but cocked up most of it so you see the potential squandered: "Rampage"

Such a shame because as mentioned, the two scenes that work beautifully show what kind of a potential this movie had. For those of you unaware, it's a movie about a guy who puts on a ton of body armor and goes on a shooting rampage. Such an interesting idea for a movie (think "Falling Down" if that was directed by an idiot) that is just botched by too many problems.

I've complained about this movie before and I will continue complaining for Uwe Boll deserves no benefit of the doubt at this point. The movie has two absolutely excellent scenes (Beauty parlor and Bingo Hall; Google them). Unfortunately, the rest of the movie is absolute trash. Terrible pacing, terrible screen-play, and a story with enough holes that the bad guy may have shot the story up before they started filming.

The two scenes in question really hammer down what SHOULD have been the entire movie (Beauty Parlor showing the fear and horror of these shootings and Bingo showing the attitude people seem to have now towards these mass shootings). Unfortunately the two scenes are surrounded by crap. What a blown opportunity...

Hard to say... worst movie could be The Beast of Yucca Flats. It's one of those infamously bad movies from the 50s.

My favorite movie reviewer, Pidde Andersson, reviewed Project X when it came out. He wondered why it was even called a comedy, and said that while you usually can tell which parts of a movie you're meant to laugh at even when you don't think it's actually funny, that wasn't the case with Project X. It didn't even seem like it was meant to be funny.

Worst movie I've ever seen is Italian for Beginners. I hated it. An ugly and depressing movie about depressing and boring people.
