Would you rather buy a game that included half-assed DLC, or buy well-made DLC

I ask because when DLC is released for certain games (read: EA Games), most people ask "Why didn't they just include the DLC in the game?" Well, maybe developers need time to develop said DLC, and that takes extra time and money.

So I ask, would you rather have rushed-out-the-door DLC included with the full version of the retail game, or pay for quality DLC?

Pay for the quality one.

But it better be made by either Blizzard or Activision.

Those guys never mess up anything

Well depends on the game but they should include all their DLC's and stuff into the release. DLC are bad for the wallet just to buy small things.

EA sells Sims 3 "DLC" on their website but everything is allready installed in the game so when you buy stuff it just unlocks it, fucking unbrilliant.

I would much rather have the done right version, even if it takes longer. Thats how I like my games...and my steak...

I guess it depends. Little stuff, extra armor, weapons, etc, I'd rather was just included. Bigger things, extra campaigns, etc... I'd prefer to have added as a quality DLC. Stuff like the DLC for Fallout 3 is a hell of a lot of fun, I'd rather Bethesda take the time to do it right than just shit it out with the original, but not really polish it.

Yeah, EA is a huge DLC whore. This is how DLC is done wrong.

Cant there be both? Can't a game have rushed out included DLC (which seems like an oxymoron since if it is on the disc it isn't dlc) and have room for premium DLC?

The game should come out pretty full, then large DLC comes out much later.
