That's nigh-impossible. Any discussion of WoW brings venom.

Anyhows, yes, I agree. The expansion isn't anything new, it's just more of it. For some people, that's exactly what they were looking for.

I quit the game shortly after WOTLK came out. All Blizzard keeps doing is introducing new grinds to the game.

The game needs more content than the current quest, raiding and pvp. Blizzard hasn't really expanded things past adding new rep grinds and harder to craft gear.

Add some new games, some more unique battleground scenarios, etc. I'd love to see the vehicles concept expanded into more arena/bg matches as that way you could make fun battlegrounds where twinks and levelling didn't matter. They'd make a nice diversion from the normal grinding.

Yes, it was an outrage... i thought it been the 2nd expansion pack out now they would of finally remodelled the game around dance dance revolution!!

I mean.. it started out as an fps game right? burning crusade remade it into a mmorpg.. i was expecting something different this time aswell

I don't buy expansion packs in the hope the game i spend time on is completely reinvented with each one, thats not expanding its reinventing and they are both very, very different.

If blizz's new mmo is exactlly the same as wow then you have permission to cry... chances are you were already growing tired of wow's formula, the release of the expansion just made you realise faster because you just paid a wad of money for it (Besides the monthly sub, who notices that anyway its a fire and forget on your visa)

Hmm all they have done is make more grinds! Well apart from the vehicle combat the 360 style achievements which admittedly add nothing tangiable to the game it's just fun! Oh and the fact that you hardly have to grind at all anymore you can go through the entire game going quest to quest.

So no I dont find it getting any older than it has ever been It's still fun

Well, lets say that WotLK leveling and DK is one of the best times I had in my final days of WoW. Blizzard pumped new life into the quests and zones, it gave you a feeling of belonging into the world again. It was truly being an amazing experience.

Then you hit 80...and...the fun stops...No new end game stuff...Raid and Arena...Wintergrasp isnt really a long term solution.

AT least TBC brought many new stuff to end game. Arena, better raids(yeah 40 mans was a horrible experience if you werent downing the big boss.) and the quest for the flyng mounts.

WotLK end content was the same as TBC...but without the mounts. They didnt bring nothing new...WHile the leveling and art direction of Northrend was amazing...in the end WotLK didnt add nothing new. Blizz didnt top off what TBC brought to WOW. TBC improved the features in WoW and brought new things to the table. WotLK feels just an polish of what was already in game.

It gets old to me every so often. Still, since I still have fun playing, I just take a few months off at a time and reactivate my account later. But that's not the question, is it?

Actually, the fact that they poured everything in the expansion into the pre-endgame fills me with hope. I've always loved the journey in MMOs more than the destination (not to mention raiding and PvP hold no interest for me), so the idea that there isn't much else waiting at the end doesn't affect me much; I'll just play one of several alts, build up my one-man commercial empire, explore places in the world I never got to...or, failing all else, take a vacation to Loch Modan.

... What? Who in the hell told you that????

EDIT: Er, right, on topic... I don't think it's getting old. I like the new additions, a lot, especially the Death Knight. It's all a matter of personal taste, really.

I think it varies from person to person.
The main reason that people find it so boring is that the end game of Vanilla and TBC was never meant for "casuals". That being said, it made things a hell of a lot harder. Then they decided to go for ht emajority and not the minority (Who are very whiny...).
That's why it is so easy.
Just wait till Ulduar and everyone will be crying "NERF ULDAMMIT BLIZZ!!!! QQ!!!! ITS TOO HARDZ!!! I HAV TO THUNKZ TO GET LEWTS NOW!!!"

Then again, those people that keep whining about naxx being too easy absolutely refuse to bring undergeared players into it. I sense a double-standard

I think it started getting old the very second I finished my 300th fetch quest. Seriously, people have to be crazy to continue playing this same game going on 5 years now.

Really, an MMO starting to get old? Why, the day an MMORPG starts to repeat itself, I'll eat my hat!

Wasn't there something about destructible environments? Anybody done that yet?

Wrong.
He's being sarcastic.

On topic: The reason core WoW was so good was because everything was so difficult, almost unattainable. It gave everyone something to shoot for. With TBC I saw so many Tier 6 and Blades of Azzinoth that getting to that point seemed pointless cause everyone else was there. With WotLK everything being so easy it seems less satisfying when you get it because it IS so easy to get. The harder something is to the more satisfying it is to get, the less satisfying something is the less fun you'll have.

WoW got boring with the introduction of dailies. Sure, some of the bombing ones were okay the first hundred times, but...

I quit when I realized I spent more time fishing than raiding and PvPing together, because it was more fun. Oh, I could have become one of those who just hangs out in the cities and spams the channels looking for friends or enemies, but I chose to log off and go have a life instead. Now if I could just get my best friend to do the same.
