Hey guys i'm having some difficulties here

Firstly what's the easiest way to get world of warcraft for a mac?
Secondly does WoW run well on macs, i have a macbook pro so i assume the specs will be high enough?
Thirdly any advice for a first time player?

Cheers!

Buy it as you would the windows version, Blizzard is one of the few game companies that release their games on a disc with both the windows and mac version. I run it on my MacBook Pro as well and it's good, and should be even better come 10.6.6.

Cheers man, is there anywhere i have to go to get the patches for mac versions? If i bought a copy today would it come with all the patches on the disk or would i have to sit here and download them?

It would download them for you.

Blizzard cater for macs so you'll have no problem.

Probably wouldn't come with the patches: I certainly don't know anyone who would reissue a game that includes the patches without rebranding it as well (WoW: Game of the Decade edition? :p)

The discs have the patches that were released when the discs were. WOTLK has every patch since Vanilla on the discs. I haven't played for a while but I'd imagine downloading patches for 3 hours on my 15 Mbit connection, if I ever put the cursed discs in my computer again. Install and then go do something else when it starts patching or wait for Cataclysm.

Heh. The standard install disks have 1.0 on them. If you had installed Burning Crusade you would of patched to 2.0. If you had installed Wrath of the Lich King you would of patched it to 3.0.

That would of saved some time ;).
