I recently got the WoW trial and im really thinking about buying the full game, but I had a few questions.

Does a free month of play come with the game?
Can you buy additional play time cards at a store or do you have to use credit card?
Do my characters from the trial version carry over to the full version?

Also yes there are play time cards that you can buy at stores.

I'm not sure about the last question.

Yes, yes, and yes. You can do all of those although the time cards don't go lower than 2 months.

Yes you get 1 month of gameplay with original WoW purchase. Also have to buy Burning crusade expansion to have access to blood elf/draenei races and past lvl 60 content. Wrath of the Lich KIng if you want access to death knight class and beyond lvl 70 content.

yes you can buy 2 month game cards in US for $30.

yes your characters do carry over but until then your character has restrictions such as whispering people and carry certain amount of gold.

You just can't play. Your characters stay on your account forever, unless you delete them yourself.

Yes (Yes, but it may require you to also buy another month of time, or a time card)

They stay inactive (ie you can't play them) but they stay around forever and ever.

You just can't play. I regularly cancel my subscription for about 4 months at a time and I can still play.
