I recall hearing about the death of General Giap. I felt that I'd let myself down, not having met the man in person. There are few incidents of that nature in my life, by and large I'm not incline toward human beings. This is another such situation unfortunately, at least for me. Lady Chablis, one of the characters made famous by Midnight In The Garden of Good And Evil, has passed away at 59. This was a movie I thoroughly enjoyed, particularly when the protagonist announces: "This place is like New York on Mescalin." I had no idea that this wasn't some actor playing a part, but a real life person who apparently made it more clear to others. I felt that she deserved a shout out of sorts whatever that might be, and that this was as good a place as any.

General Giap, Lady Chablis... It's wonderful the world has such people in it. It's sad that I only seem to notice them once their gone. Look around folks, look real good, the crowd of faces is ever changing an often worth more to you and others then you might think.
Lady Chablis 1959 - 2016.
