Great review! There is the cake from portal somewhere in that game too if you want to find more easter eggs.
Good review but the accent got annoying after a while.

Oh I know and thanks. I actually know a Belgian guy who makes videos in a very convincing American accent because he thinks it'll be more appealing to YouTubers. He might be right but I couldn't bring myself to do that. Anyway surely if people won't watch your videos because you don't have an American accent, then the further away they are the better.goatzilla8463 said:
I actually think it would have been extremely similar. There was talk of "Quickening powers" which I believe would have amounted to things like "berserk" etc. Making a Highlander game faithful to the films would be an extremely difficult task mainly because your opponents (other Immortals) are rare. So your standard enemies would either have to know how to kill you (thus going against canon) or all be immortals (making it silly).Ghostwise said:Good review. But I would love to have seen it. There may still be hope. It has been pushed back a year exactly which usually means they don't know if it will ever be released but I think that the game was all but finished so maybe they'll shove it on the shelves at some point.
There was another game called Seven Kingdoms: Conquest which was about five years overdue. Everyone thought it was dead. Then suddenly, one day, it was released.

Yeah that was rather stupid of me. My videos are usually just under the YouTube eleven minute limit but there isn't much to say about a game like this so I stuck the games opening in there just to fill up the time and show some nice footage.pffh said:

Me and my mates have a theory that the uncaged version of the game is better than the X-Men Origins film. Probably is in my opinion.
Huh. This looks surprisingly fun and really gorgeous. I just watched the movie at the cinema today, and I loved it. That would compensate for my disliking of monotonous action games, but perhaps not enough for me to warrant a purchase. Especially not if I will finish it in aprox. 8 hours. A rental then, perhaps. Like your accent, by the way.
You know what I like about this forum? The way people tend to tolerate a difference of opinion. In this case me slagging off the film while you enjoyed it. Best thing was that it was well integrated with the characterisation. I don't care much about the action, and sure, it could have more characterisation, but it had enough for me to be pleased. It was very predictable, which is probably the biggest flaw I can find. Now that's a good thing.

Super work! This game's reception has been "mixed", but having played the demo it feels like a gloriously over-the-top brawler with a fair bit of love put into it. We don't get enough of those nowadays. The review itself was charming, and you worked around the obvious low budget by injecting your own clever ideas, and I liked your "chuckle reel" in particular. I'm off to watch more of your work!
