XBLA Price Points

How much is too much? What do you think Escapist Forum, do you feel that the slow crawl in XBLA price levels towards retail-like pricing is becomming insulting, or do you feel that recent arcade titles are showing an appropriate rise in quality and substance to reflect their prices?

I'm more worried about the price of DLC really. It's easier to justify buying a complete game off the XBLA, than a couple of hours extra gameplay for an already released game.

The point system was never good for the consumers. It's only another way for microsoft to get more money.

Some are too expensive I agree - but you can get the first 3 sonic game with online play and achievements for 1200 points. That is a good deal.

For ports of old games, it was too much to begin with. I can easily get those games for much cheaper than 5 bucks. For new games, it's still too much. 1200 points? Really?

yea, Duke nukem was fun, but not for what it is going for in the marketplace, even with online dukematch. but a few of the original, a term im using very lightly, games are worth it....... not the trillions of R type rip-offs that ive seen........

So what examples would you offer of higher priced XBLA games that you thought were worth it? Castle Crashers?
