Figured there a quite a few people that like to accept agreements before reading the details, but this would be one you may want to read. Enrolling in this program will get you the update, with the possibility of a system crash. The one thing it does state they will be going from Microsoft points to real money. How many of you think it is worth the risk. Xbox has plenty of their own consoles to test this on, without risking our own.

In addition, any bing voice search is going to be recorded and used by the company. I don't think this is a huge ordeal, but all family members or anyone over is subject to this as well, without consent. Again, I do not believe this will be a big issue, because I'm thinking there isn't a lot of people doing searches with their Xbox that is going to bring up anything big.

Also, what does everyone think is going to be coming with this update. I know Microsoft is wanting to move forward with their "next gen 360", but unless they are wanting to revamp the dashboard, I don't think there will be much it could be bringing to us. For those that are interested, this can be found on the home tab of the dashboard.

I heard about it, so I saved Far Cry 3 and looked at what it was for.

Got bored, couldn't care less about it, so I went back to it about three minutes later.

Glad someone brought up the privacy issues, I alluded to them in another thread but did not get around to making one specifically for it. I disagree about these conditions being trivial, it's a very major thing that not only commits yourself and anyone else you nominated (with or without consent), the condition applies and extends beyond the beta indefinitely.

It's the single biggest issue with the update, is the same going to be applied to the update proper as well, not to mention the new Xbone console? What if Kinect becomes "powered by bing" effectively giving Microsoft and by extension PRISM (the government) carte blanche to do whatever they please with the data, and whatever is recorded via an always on microphone and camera (that can see details in the dark) in living rooms around the globe?

The media should be all over this development like a rash but remain largely silent. Alarm bells should be ringing for all rational people, let alone the privacy conscious or paranoid.
