I just finished playing it, and when I finish games I like to leave my final thoughts.
During the story I felt it was going to end with quite a few plot holes, but in the end they tied it up nicely, there were a few plot holes left, but I will be nice for a change and leave them unmentioned. Well, thats no fun Kluke one of the main characters parents were doctors and she remembers an ancient hopsital or at least things in it, so you are 16 and your parents were killed and you are lead to believe that she her parents were doctors during ancient times that no one else seems to know about, so whats the deal with that? So kudos on the story for tieing up most loose ends. The story was not anything exciting or new, it was based a Wild Arms or Radatia Stories game in my opinion. Civilation destorys itself and then man ones again rises out of the ash and forgets how everything worked, and basically stumbles into things like OH hey magic exists.
The music in the game was one of the worst I have ever heard in an RPG ever... Nobuo would not be famous if it weren't for final fantasy. Maybe I am just use to Akira Toriyama doing games with good composers like Mistuda and Chrono Trigger, but whatever. The standard boss battle song will drill up felling against the game rather quickly. The voice acting in the game is ok, other then the main character, it got to the point where every other word out of his mouth was "I won't give up".
The battle system is meak and unappealing, most of the skill sets are actually broken, so you become demi gods by the end of the game. The final boss had 3 turns when I killed him, I was not so ungodly high level, I was only 45, which if you have played the game really isn't that high.
I did like the equiptment being jewerly, so it says that we don't change clothes for a reason rather then you armor changes and your blue shirt is still a blue shirt not a chest plate.
Overall the game is about a 5 out of 10, if you really want to play and RPG on Xbox 360 go ahead, you won't be sad when it ends, you will kind of be like Oh, thats nices its over. You may also consider muting the game.
Warning, I had a Xbox that was still under warantee and this game broke it. Many of the Gamefaqs guide warn that this game can cause the system to die. The system itself still works, but the internal clock is dead, and the disk drive is louder then the in game music.
