I just tried my copy of Burnout 3: Takedown on my Xbox and it says it isn't compatible anymore. Does anyone else have this problem? It's on Microsoft's list and should work and did work before the new dashboard update. Has anyone else noticed any xbox games that should be working that aren't compatible anymore?

I love this game and don't own an original xbox - this totally sucks. Microsoft get your act together!!!!

Sorry, but Microsoft wants you to pay 1600 points (or $20) to download the game to your hard drive instead of being able to use the disk.

Yeah it sucks, but we kind of have to suck it up and take it. Or else just go get a different console instead.

*Edit*
Some games I have seen lose BC compatibility.
It could also be however that your disk is just too scratched (or your 360 laser is messed up).

*puts in Jade Empire*

All good for me.

I'd try Burnout 3, but I have the PS2 version.

Micro$oft will never get it's act together. I have an Xbox PleaseFixMe and it's one of the worst pieces of junk I've ever seen! It breaks too much, eats your discs, noisy as hell... the list goes on. My ShitBox recently broke and I'm going to get a PS3 soon. I'd advise you to do the same.

As for your problem, I can't help. Sorry...
Go troll go!

My first PS3 pretty much caught on fire. You don't see me throwing a hissyfit about it.

Sorry dude but nobody is shit happens, get over it or your life is going to suck. Especially when something this relatively minor can get you worked up enough to post about it in an anonymous online forum thread that was only loosely related.

I don't necessarily think he's a troll.

Seriously, I love my Xbox 360 to death, but god damn it, it's the most unreliable piece of shit hardware I've ever bought. My xbox 360 elite died on me twice, once because of a red ring, and once because the graphics card overheated, and yesterday the power supply for it died.

My friends' xboxs have been pretty much the same way, and one of my friends has had 4 different copies of Halo 3 completely destroyed by his xbox.

If you don't think that the xbox 360's hardware is shitty, then you're just a fanboy who refuses to admit that his favorite system isn't the second coming of Christ.

On the other hand, I have never had a single problem with my PS3.
I got my 360 about a year after it came out and its just fine and no one I know had theirs RROD so ours arent that bad.

God, is it too hard for them to regularly update the emulator to support more games? I want to play Urban Chaos again, dammit!

Lol well its been resolved.. sooo.. Free thread?

Any ways who likes the new update?
I find it interesting. I don't like switching up when something else already works, but following that phylosophy we'd still be back in the stone age, so my point is kinda null.

Hmm, RROD is supposed to be bad, but I've gotten it on at least four occasions, and on all four occasions I found out what the problem was (or if I couldn't find the problem, I found out how to get around it.)

Xbox elite is a piece of shit, just like the original Xbox was before they fixed it. this should have been obvious from the start -_-

Let me just say this:

It costs more cause you have to buy the hard drive, extra controllers, wireless connecter, etc. But the arcade, despite all the "hardcore gamers" opinion it has vandalising it, is probably the most reliable Xbox EVER. I have used it on a near-daily basis for at least 2-3 hours a day for over a year now, and it has never broken down, is IMO less noisy than the regular Xbox (which makes little to no sense to me) and has half the problems that the regular one does. I have only gotten red rings with it once, and I fixed the problem simply by turning on the Xbox manually instead of using the controller to turn it on.

Compared to my Xbox which has broken down 3 times, and now has a fan behind it because it overheats if it doesn't, and also freezes up if you play a game via disk for more than an hour.
