I have a 360 and a Wii, and about a year or so ago I decided to graduate my gaming from my Wii to near exclusively my 360.

Yet as a gamer who grew up with GC I value couch multiplayer above all else as I have a lot of friends over to watch movies and play games, and I've hit a wall, no matter how hard I look Xbox seems to only produce online multiplayer, it's really annoying to see a good multiplayer game and not have access without multiple people with consoles, subscriptions, and copies of the game.

To the point, what are good couch coop/multiplayer games on 360.

Ones I own:

4 player
Geometry Wars 2
Blur
Halo *bleh*
Risk Factions
Tales of Vesperia
'Splosion Man

2 player
Army of Two
Lord of the Ring: Conquest
Borderlands
Left4Dead
Rainbow6Vegas

*Edit* If there are new Wii party games that are unmissable amounts of fun in the last 2 years or so, list those too (not SSBB I have that.)

I don't have that many games I can play with friends. I go to other people's houses not the other way around. I insulate my family from my friends it's a manipulation tool (My parents MUST continue to think I'ma good boy).

However I do own Geometry Wars 2, L4D, Little Big Planet, and Halo ODST (WHY DID I BUY THAT???)

Rock Band!

I doubt this is what you're looking for, unless you have alot of money to spare. If you could get the full band set, and all the games to export onto one platform, Rock Band makes an awesome social game - especially once someone gets inubriated enough to sing.

I've got about 450 songs on my platform though, so you may not have the same results. >,>

Agreed, games like that are awful for party games, as everyone who has played it knows where things are and how to play well, and everyone else just dies.

Well, it's not so much a party type game, but if you've just got one friend you're hanging out with, and want something to blow an afternoon or two on, Sacred 2 has local two person co-op that's a lot of fun.

If you're willing to splurge on the controllers, DJ Hero is a hell of a lot of fun, and DJ Hero 2 is coming out here in the near future.

Other than that, a Fighting Game is always a good way to go. You'll have to wait till next year if you want Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (I do), but BlazBlue is a really well made fighting game that you could give a shot. Soul Calibur 4 is also fun.

Mhmm, agreed Halo is a bad party game. I think games like Castle Crasher and the up-and-coming Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World beat-em-up are the ultimate party games.

At least for guys/gals like us. I would never play Castle Crashers with my family everyone would die.

Are we talking split screen or LAN (Well, 360 System Link or whatever the fuck, I call it LAN)?

Because Splitscreen, I'd say Halo in defiance to your bleh. Play custom games with high speed Spartans with Rockets. I have a few friends who never play console games and they were even having a blast (Bad pun! HA!).

And once I went to a LAN party where we all were playing MW2, and it justified the purchase. 100%. $60 for one night of pure awesome.

Thanks, I'll look into BlazBlue, as I don't have any fighting games for 360.

Ah! Forgot I owned Castle Crashers, just watched some previews now and Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World looks like awesome fun. Shame it comes out so late.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 or 2, doesn't matter.
Ahah all I need is people willing to play a Marvel game for extended periods of time, but it looks like a good beatemup.
