Xbox 360 S backwards compatibility?

I have a slim Xbox 360 (y'know, the cute little black model). I heard that the 360 is natively backwards compatible with a few OG Xbox games (most notably, the one that inspired this thread, Panzer Dragoon Orta). The question is, is the slim backwards compatible with those games as well?, or did that go the way of the PS3's ability to play PS2 games?

If you have an official Microsoft hard drive then the 360 S will be as backward compatible as any other 360 with an official hard drive.

The list of XBox games compatible with the 360 can be found here [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_games_compatible_with_Xbox_360]. In short, an up to date 360 with an official MS Hard Drive should be able to play the games in that list.

It should automatically download everything needed when you try and play a compatible Xbox game.
