Xbox live is down

PS3 lovers uncork your champagne bottles.

I just tried signing into live on both my xbox and on xbox.com without any luck. I just get a frozen screen where it tries to sign in for about 3 minutes until it flashes that it can't.

Not sure if this is just Australia or in Canada (I'm in Australia but an ex-pat Canadian with a Canadian xbox account). But the below link seems to say it's likely worldwide.

Yeah. The people over at the Bethesda forums waiting to download Hearthfire are going nuts. Not Bioware fan level of nuts, but they're pretty bummed. Like I am.

And it's down in the USA, too. Boo.

Luckily I'm not home so it'll probably be back home by then.

It's down here in the UK as well. Give it 20 or 30 minutes, it'll be back.

Oh well. I must admit it doesn't particularly affect me much at the moment.

Plus I don't think PS3 fanboys shuould be quick to rub it in Xbox fanboys faces considering what has happened to PSN before.

Lol, the internet in my house has been down for weeks, I can manage a few more days without Live lol.

And it's back ladies and gentlemen. This happens from time to time it seems. I don't know why. There never seems to be any message about routine maintenance. Maybe they're switching servers or something. Xbox.com is still broken for me though.
