Xbox support needed

I'm having trouble connecting to certain people online and I'm wondering if there is anything i can do on my end to fix the problem. Here are the details:

My Nat setting is open
I'm on virgin media for Internet
My xbox is connected directly to the rooter
None of my friends have the same problem
I can connect to certain people but the people i can connect to change randomly

If there is any other information you need just ask and I'll try to find out.

Do you know what your friends NAT settings are?

I've had similar issues about not being able to connect to people. Majority of the time I find that it decides to work again later so all I can suggest is try again later. Hope you sort it out.

It could be based on connection speed/bandwidth. I had issues at my last apartment playing games with my friend in Australia because the wiring in the building was so mucked up. We could connect on the Party channel without issue, but any time we tried to play a game, I just couldn't connect. I called my cable company and after they re-ran a new line, the problems were resolved. So, that might be a possible cause.
