I normally really don't like commercials. This one was so funny and original (and nerdilious) I had to share it.

Since these forums about discussion, I guess which Science Fiction or Fantasy characters you would like to see in a reality show or a singing contest?

Speaking of Klingon Opera...

Is there such a thing as Klingon Ballet? Because seeing Worf dance around a stage on tip-toes in a Tutu would be WORTH IT! This needs to exist!

I'm kind of imagining Klingon Ballet looking a lot like professional wrestling without flamboyantly colored tight clothing or lucha libre masks. But with more injuries and broken bones and blood. Which would also look cool in tutus.

So, kind of like interpretative dance, but the interpretations are all literal so all the punching and stabbing would just be regular punching and stabbing.

Where it all falls down is when performing either ballet or professional wrestling, the performer is doing a choreographed performance. I'm not sure Klingons would accept the part of the losing side of a fight or battle. It would be like winning an audition for a part where you will assuredly be maimed or killed while performing. But it would look awesome, even in tutus.

Klingon stand up comedy with bat'leth honour duels for particularly loud hecklers. Either the live audience laughs, gets to watch a nice fight or has an opportunity to stab the so called comedian for wasting their time. Unironically, Klingdons regard famous comedians as worthy of respect since they are in a profession that stares death in the face every day and laughs at it. Also they probably have won more duels per capita than anyone outside of a professional duelist. The lousy comedians have very short careers....

There's a bit in TNG where Klingons re-enact Kahless killing a tyrant, and in DS9 the wedding has a re-enactment of a fight betwen the two first Klingons, in which there is dramatic weapon swinging, but nobody is supposed to get hurt.
