Yeah, this is a little late, but Kingdom Hearts 2 made no sense to me!

Again, yes, it was a while ago. But, I didn't think about it until I started playing 358/2 Days, so shuddup.

Why is Sora trying to stop Organization XIII from making Kingdom Hearts? The more I play 358/2 Days, the more I root for the Nobodies. All they want are hearts, why are we trying to stop them? Admittedly, Xemnas got a little crazy towards the end, but still.

Also, are we sure they don't have hearts? They seem to convey a lot of emotion (especially Roxas, Naminé, and Xion) for beings without hearts.

Could someone explain this to me?

I'm such a nerd...

I thought they were beings that weren't supposed to exist?

I dunno. The more I think about it, the more I hate the KH continuity.

I thought they were stealing hearts. Not just wanting them.

Weren't they using the Heartless and Sora to steal hearts from people to make Kingdom Hearts?

Funny I find this topic because I'm downloading KH music now.

Well see. There are the good guys. These characters are generally more brightly colored. Have teen love interests. Wear clothing made entirely of belts and buckles. And have a heartwarming back story.

EVERYONE else is considered bad. And they should be killed with bright sparkley attacks and blunt magical weapons.

Its really that simple.

They are stealing hearts in order to give themselves hearts. That's bad.

:EDIT: And selfish.

I guess, but at least the heartless seemed evil in Kingdom Hearts 1, and were doing something evil.

Fuck it, nobodies FTW!

Weren't they trying to kill Sora so they would have complete control of the keyblade?

Damn, "Kingdom Hearts" was a painfully unique game... why did "KH2" fuck it up so hard? The story went from a casually interesting idea to the crossroads of "Whatsgoingonville" and "Nobodycares City". all the important characters suddenly took on new roles, a new, completely backwards and ridiculous, threat is revealed and the main character isn't even playablefor the first hours of the game. Then the story was practically empty, or, atleast it didn't try to connect itself directly with the previous entry, "Chain of Memories" did fuck-all to connect the two and only Donald and Goofy seemed to have any idea what was happening.

So, to answer your question, I don't know either. I don't care. Fuck "KH2" and ESPECIALLY "KH3" if and when it comes out.

I think the only justification was that they were sometimes trying to turn people into Heartless (Beast is the only example that comes to mind) and they used less than wholesome means to pursue their goals. Oh yeah, and they kidnapped Kairi.

Maybe the idea that they aren't supposed to exist justified killing them to Sora.

I found them to have an objective that was far from evil, and IMO Xemnas (at the end), Xaldin, Larxene, and possible Saix were the only really villainous ones of the bunch.

Xemnas is a crazy ************. He manipulates the rest of the Organization into helping him form Kingdom Hearts so that he may take control of it and use it's power to remake the worlds as he sees fit. As far as I can tell, the rest of the Org is innocent. (Mostly: Marluxia gives me bad vibes, Larxene is insane and Saix is an officious prick.)

Wait, shit, no, fuck. I was thinking of Xigbar. *rubs temples* It's been too long since I played any of them. Xaldin's the spears-of-the-wind guy. Yeah, he's kind of a dick too, but I'm a whore for spears, so I kind of let it go.

they exist because everything has an opposite, including the heartless. or something like that, they are bad because you need something to fight in the game.

The Nobodies were kind of a poorly designed enemy if they were truly meant to be hated. It kind of hit me when I finished slaughtering Demyx that Sora was kind of only killing the human ones because they were different ("You don't have a heart... SO DIE!").

The Nobodies are created in the same way as the Heartless. A heart is stolen by darkness and a Heartless is created from the darkened heart, while a Nobody is created from the soul and body. Only people with plot armor strong wills become the human Nobodies of Organization XIII. The Nobodies don't want just anyone's heart back - they want theirs. Not an entirely selfish goal. The Heart belonged to them, it was just lost (whether purposely or not) and now there's a void in them. It's sad.

The Nobodies you face, aside from Xemnas, all want their hearts back. Xemnas, the leader, wants to access Kingdom Hearts to gain power, rather than his own heart back. So, killing him was justified... but his lackies had goals that weren't terrible. :(

AND NOW THERE'S A THIRD GROUP IN 'BIRTH BY SLEEP' AND IDK WHAT THE HELL ANYMORE MAN.

Well, I think it was because they were trying to turn more people bad so that they would make more heartless. They then used Sora to kill those heartless to contribute to their goal. So... I dunno, I guess it was sort of indirect mass murder. As in, they weren't actually killing anybody, but they made them evil so that they had to be killed.
