It looks as if I'm about to fail college. It's a simple enough course, and this situation is entirely my own fault. This latest little bungle has followed two botched high-school diplomas and one drop-out. The economy being the way it is, I most likely won't be able to find employment and will need to go back on unemployment benefits while living at home. I've got approximately zilch qualifications and little work experience.

My parents continue to have the utmost faith in my alleged intelligence and abilities. Due to my track-record of screwing up and their tolerance for said screwups, this makes the whole situation akin to watching a pair of puppies run headfirst into a brick wall over and over again.

So, what now? Any self-respect I had went out the window a while back, but suicide far too melodramatic and would cause too much harm. I really don't want to end up at the bottom of the societal ladder, but it looks as if its about to happen. Have any of you gotten out of similar situations before? Is there a good starting point?

Wow, I just posted a thread a few moments ago on a similar subject! Only my parents never really believed in me.

Honestly, I have no idea what you should do. Finishing college is obviously going to be a top priority, but that's a tall order considering what you have posted here. Do you have any mental conditions? Maybe something you need help with? I'm not sure...
