I would tell them to make a world like Guild Wars, only with turn based combat and dress spheres. The main character should be David Bowie as he appeared in Labyrinth and the final boss should be Mohammed. The plot should be about collecting seeds to replant a forest that was destroyed by an ecological disaster or something, yeah, that will do.

Job class system. They've failed every attempt at a story in the ones with a job class system. And its a fricken awesome system. Almost made X-2 playable if you turned off the sound.
