Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.
It's a dark comedy about a japanese teacher who wants to commit suicide, however his students somehow save him, perhaps inadvertedly. Full of stereotypes and references to other culture :p

I see you like the Shounen, like myself, then sir I reccomend:

Eyeshield 21

:not my favourite manga but deffinatly the best one overall that I have read. Never a low point.

Its a sports manga about American Football with some of the best characters I have ever seen. My personal favourites being Hiruma, Shin and Gao. Trust me, you CANT miss them.

Please dont write it off as being just a sports manga, ITS SO MUCH MORE!!!

Batma- Oh wait..

OT: Gantz. If you can get past the copious amount of gore and fanservice, then it is awesome.

EDIT: Oh! And Ghost in the Shell, although there's a fair chance you've read that already.

Liar Game.

It's AMAZING! I don't know if it's translated but the scanilations are very well done. It get's compared to Death Note a lot.
I agree, it is so mindbending and im only half way through. Unfortunately, I dont think its been released in Europe/US(except France for some reason). But yeah, the scans of it are really well done.

I would recommend Berserk. I know the first few volumes aren't the greatest but it gets better as it goes along. None of the mangas you have listed are strictly aimed at adults so if gore and other disturbing content isn't your thing you should probably skip this one.

I checked to see if it had been released in English or Swedish, but it hadn't, so there's no way it's going to end up being the manga I go to the store and buy tomorrow. Which is why, with a good conscience, I started reading the scans online right now, and it is amazing!

Yes! I'm so glad I got somebody else to try it! It's so intelligent and different, I'm always excited to see when a new chapter is out. I hope you enjoy!

I just started reading it and it's bloody awesome.
I would say this but he did.
Fairy Tail, then?
Done by the same guy. Just don't read it with other people around, pretty much every female is 19 with DD cups and are nearly always naked.
Well, not that much, but there's a lot of fanservice, basically.

I've been sucked in completely by Blood Alone. Not very action-filled, but great story nonetheless.
Oh, that was a surprise. Just when I'd given up on seeing anything other than a list of bland shonen and shojo series, that title pops up. Rather... Unusual, but I found it really quite good. It's probably my most enjoyed series of any of the names mentioned in this thread, but I'm not sure if I would recommend it, without knowing more about what kind of manga the OP reads, or how well-stocked his local bookshop is. But, well, if I were to approve of any title, it might just be that one.
