For those of you who don't do the whole Christmas thing, what are some funny experiences when you've told someone that you're not into it.

I myself am Jewish. My favourite moment is when I told someone that I don't celebrate Christmas due to my upbringing and they said they were sorry. I had a right yell at them.

So yeah. Share stories about this. There must be some funny sitch's out there.

I once wished a guy Merry Christmas, then he said he was Jewish and I apologized. Then he yelled at me for some reason.

The prick...

I once worked with a person who's husband is a Rastafarian and i was told that Christmas to them is just like a regular day of the year.

A bit off topic but the only story I have is that I have a friend who is an atheist and his entire family are atheists yet they still celebrate christmas.I just always found it a bit hypocritical.

Christmas isn't really about jesus anymore, it's more of a tradition/yay presents thing.

Christmas is so commercial now tho it isn't really based on religion.
It's all about giving gifts and eating til you burst. :) Which i like.
Also a few of my guy mates, bf included don't really celebrate Christmas and are quite used to going out on Christmas day to clubs or not getting gifts. I think it's a shame cos I love being at home, with family on Christmas. :)

lol same here, my friend when on the topic can be SUPER atheist and anti religion/god but when it comes to christmas its all "lolz and computer upgrades for starcraft 1?@!@?" and i tend to facepalm every year about it..

I'm an atheist, my family are agnostics. We celebrate Christmas.

My friend's family buys a tree and gives gifts on Christmas. Did I mention they're Muslims?

Nowadays, Christmas is less about celebrating Jesus being born and is more about the old-fashioned type sentiments of family togetherness, over-eating and falling asleep at 3pm.

well, technically I was never meant to celebrate christmas at all, my mother being a Jehovah's witness an all.

I'm an athiest and I celebrate christmas. I live in England, it's kind of a cultural thing. I like to believe that such a widely celebrated public holiday can achieve a meaning beyond it's orginal religous purpose.

I'm a raised Catholic-now-Agnostic and I try to avoid excessive excitement at all costs. Christmas for me is just like any other day although sometimes I get nicer food. If I had it all my way, Christmas and my birthday would go unnoticed completely, sadly people keep trying to..involve me.

People's reaction is usually "what the fuck is wrong with you". Forgive me for preferring to be doing something I enjoy rather than talking to relatives, pretending to care that I've grown so big since they saw me a month ago and telling my screaming, greedy 3 year old cousin that it's the damn present he screamed for a day ago.

I fucking hate Christmas
