You don't want to get on Gallywix's bad side

This is for people who play/have played WoW and have a basic understanding of Warcraft law and what happened in Cataclysm.

Just came back to WoW to see how thing's had changed in Cata, very pleased with changes to both graphics and gameplay (Goblin Shamans have robotic Totems - so much win) but after a while it became clear that several things are seriously amiss.

1. What appear to be loaded, operational, lightly guarded siege weapons are just lying around outside the walls of Orgrimmar. I'm so Sun Tzu but that seems like a bad idea, if that comes back to bite us Garrosh will not be going down in history as a military mastermind.

2. Zeppelins now stop inside the city - the city with the spikiest roofs in the history of architecture. Balloons + spikes. Goblins clearly do not have an effective health and Safety Department.

3. The Goblin Trade Prince controls the Horde.

Now think about this, Gallywix the Trade Prince came to Kalimdor with with a Bazillion of whatever currency goblins used. As a neutral faction the Goblins would have traded with other factions before adopting Horde currency - that means Goblin currency would have had an exchange rate. Even if they are worth a quarter of a copper a piece (but given the economic power of the Goblins they would probably be worth more rather than less) that would still be around 25 trillion gold! BUT 25 trillion gold... IN CASH! That makes The Goblin Trade Prince the richest thing ever to have existed.

Added to that in the short time Goblins have been a part of the Horde they have effortlessly taken over the Banks and Auction Houses, they control public transport in the form of Zeppelins, they are are at the heart of the Horde's new expansion drives thanks to their invaluable technology and the Trade Prince, thanks to a temporary moment of insanity on Thrall's part, still controls the Goblins.

If he wanted to he could switch off the Horde's economy like a light switch. Yeah Garrosh looks like he can snap bones like bread sticks but the Gallywix could buy and sell him 5 times before he hit the ground. That's right my fellow Hordies bow before your REAL Warchief.

Goblin currency is Macaroons, a most delicious form of tender. I would just say that Gallywix would never fuck around with the economy like that because he would not have much to gain, and Hellscream would annihilate his ass.

Thank you I had forgotten what they were called :) and that strenghtens my point anyway, tender is worth at least 1 bronze.

Of course He wouldn't actually do it, running the Horde is not his style, so long as he's making profit he's happy. My point is he has the power to whatever he wants and Hellscream would be powerless, Garrosh would be forced to surrender to Gallywix instantly as the Horde would be unable to fight off the Alliance without an economy.

Gallywix could just send him a letter saying "Dance naked in middle of the Barrens or trade/travel stops.
Sincerly,
Your Boss."

I mean where is Gallywix now? the last time I saw him he was on that Island where Thrall and I defeated him, I reckon he's in a top-secret, highly fortified base where he just swims in money.

It will be interesting to see what Thrall makes of him when he comes back, perhaps he'll sort him out but then again, he was short sighted enough to keep him in power in the first place.

I think the fact he hasn't drawn attention to sheer scale of his influence is intentional and makes him even more powerfull, letting his control go under the Radar of almost everyone means nobody tries to stop him, he is the puppet master and nobody knows it, he's an evil green genius.
