You have a development team of 1,000,000 people... What game do you have them create?

In other words... You basically have unlimited funds and development time.

Your allowed to make one game. What do you make? You don't need to describe it in amazing detail, just... What type of game?

For example, here's my pick. An open world Pokemon game.

"What... WHAT!?" I hear you say. No, it's true. I've wanted it since I was a little kid.
Just picture this, it's like GTA... but without the blood everywhere.

You just walk around and talk to other people and trade items, Pokemon and more with other players.

Then you just go out into the open wilderness and hunt for Pokemon etc, etc. I won't bore your with this any longer as I imagine you get the point by now.

Anyway... your turn.

I could swear I saw a thread like this on 4Chan /v/. Oh well.

OT: I'd make the ultimate fantasy RPG. No, I'd make two, one with my story and one with The Lord of the Rings story (the whole Middle Earth, all the characters etc.)

And maybe an MMO where there are no NPCs, the whole world is made of players. Some players would be kings, some warriors, merchants, workers...

For the 5 people who have played Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

Remember how awesome it is? Well now imagine that in an open world, a whole city, with loads of sidequests. You have to feed regularly, upholding the masquerade, make sure you're indoors by sunrise. Essentially just like Bloodlines, but with better combat, brilliant visuals and the dark humour we came to love.

Assuming every single one of the 1.000.000 is a very capable man and knows what he's doing (meaning that the game won't have shortcomings), I'd create Dungeon Keeper 3.

With today's CGI capabilities, I can only imagine how AWESOME it'd be. Plus I'd hire the same voice narrator from the past 2 games. He rocks.

If not, Banjo-Threeie for the Wii 2. Nothing of that "We're on XBOX360 now, lol, suck it Rareware"
or some bullshit gimmick of building cars. I want an ACTUAL sequel.

A fantasy RPG

Story: The story is more along the lines of JRPG. As in, linear with some choices throughout it however, the ending won't change etc. The story is the one I have been planning in my head for over a year now and written parts of it down. It would NOT feature the usual 'vanille' type JRPG characters. I feel as though the characters would have appeal to both fans of Japanese styles and also western styles. Kind of like a balance.

Music: Hans Zimmer would compose the soundtrack reflecting of his work featured in The Last Samurai. I would also make use of music that was in the movie.

Graphics: The graphics would be done in such a way so they looked realistic. The people look real except for some stylising in some characters. (Final Fantasy type, realistic but, not. If that makes sense.) The animations would also be completely realistic and I would also make the real time combat system make use of as much realistic character animations as possible. Also, when I say realistic, I don't mean the boring 'realistic'. The locations would vary from extremely pretty locations that would only be seen in a fantasy all the way to destroyed towns with the blood of the townspeople spilled on the streets. Basically, varies from Pretty to Gritty depending on plot points etc. The gritty bits would be less common then the pretty parts.

Gameplay: Since I like Turn Based Combat I would include it but, I would also make a real time combat system so that others may enjoy it. The real time combat system would be greatly fine tuned and crafted carefully so that it would be 'perfect'. Everything would flow extremely fluently and would not feel the usual 'clunkiness' of real time gameplay.

It would be on all major home platforms and this would not hinder the quality of the product on any platform. For example if the wii can't do the graphics the PS3 can't or if the 360 DVDs couldn't hold as much as the Blu Ray Discs, then the PS3 version would not be altered in any way. If more content can be given to the PS3 because of more space for data then so be it. The other versions will have what they can within whatever limitations they may unfortunately have.

Very brief description of what I'd do but there you have it.

I'd develope the holodeck, then people can act out whatever games they wanted... Infact i'd even improve it by allowing you to take control of someone and 'play' as them using a controller like we do now.

Therefor you can play any game you can imagine, and you can also be in any game you imagine.

Although if we couldnt do this, i'd maybe go for some kind of huge open world rpg, It would basically never end, the story keeps on going until your character dies either of old age or if you get killed. And you'll play on as either a family member, or a companion who you've grown close enough with.

I think having a one million person crew would present more problems. Team management being a major one.

If they can all work together efficiently, I'll have them make Freespace 3. There needs to be a Freespace 3!

I'd fire the 999,999,990 worst ones, but keep all their money.
In reality, too many chefs DO ruin the broth. If I have the budget of a time that big, but keep the number of workers to a minimum they can focus on the best aspects instead of everyone having a say and fucking it up.

I would just scoop up and finish off division 9 shame it got cancelled, but i suppose bioshock was a good compromise.
