Hello folks.

I've just taken some NyQuil for a cold and I have to wonder:

How can something this great and borderline recreational drug be legal?

I mean seriously, there's like seven different kinds of painkiller and cold/flu reducer in there to the point where I slept for twelve straight hours before waking up dizzy and confused, not even caring that I spent the night on a hard, uncomfortable matress.

Share your stories, please.

Damiana, salvia, K2, Nodos... you can get fucked up on all of these and they are legal.

But honestly, doing any of these is way worse for you than smoking weed, so I'd rather just get high like everyone else.

I know that some cold meds that use to be over the counter are now by ID only due to the mass manufacturing of Meth in people's kitchens. Course, it is kinda hard to say what drugs are the ones that will fuck you up and what ones aren't so bad. Mind you I don't do a lot of drugs to begin with, but I have no issue being able to get acetametaphen or ibprophen over the counter.

Course, many of theses over the counter drugs were meant to be taken once every four to six hours, not exceeding eight times in a day (varies depending on what the label reads). Anymore and one should be talking to a doctor about getting a perscription for something.

Meanwhile, we have drugs like caffine, which are not regulated save for having to state how much is in a serving size.

So, its hard to say really, though I would be more interested in seeing homopathic stuff being taken off the selves simply for proving to be nothing more than ineffective placeboes.

Which made me laugh because it was like 20 years behind the times. It's also onlhy a limited class of drugs, while you can still get wrecked on NyQuil because nobody pays attention.

in the early 1900s, americans were discussing the health benefits of cocaine.

in the 1950s, cigarettes were advertised as being good for your health.

in 2050, nyquil will be outlawed :)

Without a doubt.
