You just went to another world, saved it, became a legand...and now your back.

Now think about this. You've just went to another world, fantasy or sci-fi, it dosen't matter. You defeated evil, found love, or whatever. Basically you became a legendary hero. And now, because of forces greater then your own, you have been sent back home, without knowing how to get back.

No one knows where you went, and it's only been a little while in your world.

No one will believe your story, it's too strange.

You don't have the same fame you did in the other world.

So what do you do?

EDIT: CONGRATULATIONS CM16 GOT IT RIGHT
ULTIMA!

Haven't played it, but it looks pretty cool.

Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe?

I'd do whatever I could to get back to that world.

I remember hearing this before, but cannot for the life of me remember where.

Fuck me.

Narnia? No, that's not it...

...XKCD?

Anyway...

Stick my dick in a blender, I guess. Fuck me if I know.

Yep, sounds like an XKCD strip that I know I've read.

Also kind of reminds me of the Ultima series, from what I've heard of it. Between most of the earlier games, you return to Earth through moongates, and apparently live life normally until the next game.

Write a book. Sell it as a novel. Profit. Hope I don't go insane.

edit: BREAKING NEWS, SUPER SLOW TYPING LEADS TO LOSS OF COOKIE :( THEN NOVEL IDEA STOLEN. NNNNINJAS

Anyways, I have never played those games, though I have watched some reviews of them.
They wouldn't happen to be Spoony's Ultima Retrospective reviews, would they?

well if this is anything like ultima, i should be preparing for the vengeance-fueled remnants of whatever i just defeated to try and take my dimension as their own.

first things first though; get a good home security system, cause im not having some asshole steal my stuff when i inevitably go back to dimension X or wherever like what happens in ultima.

AH, MY BACK! I was trying to save another world and I threw out my back!

Obnoxious reaction to a minor typo aside, I'd write a bestselling novel for young adults with non-stop action and sparse, Hemingwayesque dialog.

OT: Try and pull an Arthur Dent and attempt to forget about it. Including the "failing at it" part. (If you don't get the reference read Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy)

Well that depends. If it was the point in where I had no choice of the matter about staying in that new world and was forced to leave and go back home, I would probably Write a book about it. With changes about the names, I would write about what happened on my adventure. After that, i would dedicate my life in going back, for the sake of reuniting with that significant other that I fell in love with.

I would totally find a way to get my luck dragon to my plane of existence so we can fly downtown and scare the crap out of all the people living their pathetic ordinary lives.

It might be okay if I got some bad ass martial arts training out of it... and think of all those life lessons that you obviously learned. It really depends on the journey really.

Two things:

Do whatever I can to find a way back and do whatever I can to find a way to be able to go back and forth.

I mean, come on! I'd be depressed as all hell. Going through all of this. Forging the bonds with everyone, getting attached and just let it go. EFF That!

Of course, I wouldn't want to leave my home world either. But if I can come back and everything is running on Narnia time, then I'd have to try and see if there's a way back and a way to keep traveling between worlds.

Like Escaflowne Abridged's ending. Where the creator had Hitomi still using her magical transporting pendant to go from Earth to the other world so she could continue to be with Van.
