I can't help but notice that the main purpose of the Escapist is for 80% of the users to agree on something and wonder why everyone else is such a moron for not thinking the exact same thing that they do, politics, religion, how some games and movies are, PC vs consoles, all that jazz. As such the majority of threads on this website seem to mainly consist of everyone agreeing on something and flaming everyone who disagrees...it seems like we've forgotten that we'll all here becasue we're united by common love for video games, so let's play some freaking video games! I'm not a PC gamer (no doubt half of the users on the website clicked off after read that, but oh well) but I do have an xbox 360 and a fairly large library of games. I suggest that we all get together and play some multiplayer games together, but the disagreements behind us and have a little fun. I'd say I'd pop onto the Xbox at around 7:00 PM EST time today, probably to play some Halo Reach or whatever anyone else wants to play. So what do you say guys? Why don't we have some fun? My username is macdonald210

P.S. PS3 and PC users feel free to use this thread to organize your own get togethers.

OK, you convinced me. But I won't be doing any multiplayer because my internet sucks giant elephant balls. Can this thread double as general "I play/will play stuff"? Because I downloaded Mirror's Edge today and I intend to play it in a bit.

There are plenty of User Groups that organize games like this. You should totally check them out (assuming they are active obviously) or make one yourself. It's far easier to organize in a User Group than on the actual forums.

Oh...I wouldn't know that. I have bad experience with groups, I tried to join a couple and they were practically dead.

Yeah, the trick is to find one that is actually active. The best time to do this is when a game has just come out.

That sounds fun! Let's play video games!

My gamertag is the same as my username here.

I just sent you a friend request on Xbox LIVE by the way.

If anyone needs someone to play League of Legends with, look for a guy named NerfedFalcon. Because that's me. I usually main Riven unless I'm in a premade with people who I know are going to carry (as in, truly carry the game, not just pick a carry), then I pick whichever support is on rotation that week.

I like to analyse the gaming industry and talk about what we like about games and how they could be made better, but I have to agree that sometimes I tend to talk more than I should and I have to play more.

OK, I'm going back to playing Planescape Torment now. Finally I'm getting into that great game!

Well I would join you on xbox live but I haven't renewed my gold and microsoft taking everything away from me for not having it has left a bad taste in my mouth. But I'm probably going to go play some League of Legends so if anyone wants to join me my username is "uncleruckus515", I really only play 3v3.

I would love to join or have other Escapists join me in TF2. I don't play multiplayer on Xbox or PS3 any (well...I was toying around in the ME3 multi for a bit, but not for months now), but this [http://steamcommunity.com/id/Ser_Fluffywuffles] is me on Steam. I'm in game most nights with my clanmates. We're a really friendly (and mostly adult) bunch and work hard to keep trolls and the other unwanted types out of our servers. But I check out other maps from time to time. Send a request (and you might want to send a message that you're an Escapist too).

Some of us just don't play games that have zero stories. To me, it is required to get invested on the character. If there's no story, it feels like a casual game for me. Exceptions are if the gameplay is very awesome and atmosphere is well done. For example, I love the Untitled Story and Plants VS Zombies, games with either little to zero story.

My League of Legends name is the same as my username here, but I don't play much anymore; I usually just play a co-op vs ai game in the morning for the 150 ip. I'm randomly playing games right now just to kill time until Guild Wars 2 and Borderlands 2.

You can still play a single player game in spirit, where instead of bitching about games just sit back and enjoy them.

Right now I'm enjoying Persona 2 so much. I love the oldschool game BS over the bland streamlined hollywood action movie games. I'm weird and would rather get lost than be forced down a linear corridor with no exploring.

Actually the 80 % is complaining about things.

I don't like that.

just sent you a friend request, I just recently started playing tf2 again and i will most likely play some nights in the next 4-5 days, so i'll look to see if you are on.

(not sure how amazing I am compared to who you play with, but I'd say I can hold my own and then some on certain days)

If anyone wants me to join them in Team Fortress 2 then my Steam name is the exact same as my Escapist name.
Been meaning to play some Team Fortress 2 for a while but I can never find any fun players to talk with.
