There are plenty of times I have let my gaming accidentally cross with real life. Humming zelda noises when I found stuff. Calling tasks quest or missions. Planning out options and rating them by Paragon or Renegade. But has a forum influenced what I did unintentionally until now. I was sitting in a class and my college professor decided to engage us in another meaningless discussion to try and raise class participation. When someone asked for my input I would normally say next however not this time. Instead in a very loud voice I said "Thread" where as i meant to say "lets end this crap". Instantly I was given a long stare from numerous people and the first thing that came to mind was, "I have been on the forums too long."

So tell me do you have any stories like mine. Or better yet

You know you have been on The Escapist Forums too long when...

you start a thread with "you know you have been on the forums too long when. . ." (I am just joking with you by the way)
You correct people's punctuation when they speak.

You know a useless thread will be closed, yet you still post.

...Like right now.

I think the accepted term is "deja-nazis". I agree, by the way.

Maybe we'll start an uprising or something, they shouldn't be so harsh to the new guys and girls.

You start being angsty, and talking about how 'all people are stupid morons', while acting like you're cultured, and smarter than everyone else. And if your arrogance increases with your post count, and you JUST CAN'T LEAVE IT when somebody accidentally misses out that vital punctuation mark or something.

THEN, you've become an escapist. Or just a forumist in general.
