Ok, from what I can scrape together, when a player gets all the pokemon in game (and how they do it is beyond me) they get...wait for it...a badge...or a certificate...or something...


Isn't that a bit of a let down?

Your telling me I played through this game making shady deals with people I don't know just to get a badge?

Well let's think of new rewards for the player.

When you get all the pokemon, you get...

1.unlimited master balls
2.can level up any pokemon you pick to 99
3.can make your own pokemon drawn to life style *pokemon can not learn any moves such as cut or surf, pokemon gets limited animation, pokemon gets preset voice depending on stuff*
4.Magickarp becomes the most powerful pokemon in the entire game.
5.Can now restart the game with all the previous rewards, just for kicks *but your pokemon disappear*
6.Beat the game and get all the pokemon again, get a "your awesome" screen, game ends...
(can not use these powers while playing other players, only in singleplayer may you use it)

It's kind of a JRPG tradition, an in-game acknowledgement of the fact that once you've overcome the final challenge, there's nothing left for them to give you except bragging rights. This rings especially true in Pokemon. I mean, really, what has any value at that point? Masterballs? No need, you've already caught them all. Rare Candies? You've already beaten everyone in the world. A rare Pokemon? You'll never need to use it because your specially trained endgame party is already more powerful.

I guess if I were tasked with it, I'd put some kind of hypnotic device in the game that makes the player forget ever having played it. Once they've caught them all, the device is triggered and their save file is erased. I figure, hey, if they love the game enough to catch them all, what better reward is there than to let them experience the game as though it's brand new again?

Event Pokemon suck. They have gotten better, since you can get most through Wi-Fi, but 3rd gen was awful, getting any of them was almost impossible.

i'm pretty sure you could just do some google image searches with the safe-search off to appease that desire. or start a thread on 4chan...as in just any sort of thread, it won't even have to be related to pokemon or 'titties' and you'll probably get a few pictures

I personally think you should get some sort of reward from nintendo, gamefreak or creatures inc. not a really big one, but something to the equivalent of a silver blue peter badge. They'd be able to check if you cheated or not too. They'd probably be arsey about it though and not count it if you traded with someone else and got a cheat pokemon ¬_¬

I also said you could go back and start the game up with all the rewards, so you could just breeze through the catching portion of the game.
