Like something where you just stick it to the guy. I just had my best one today. These asses were talking about the lady who just got the face transplant. They were making fun of her because of how she talked with a kind of lisp (understandable after you nearly die from a shotgun blast to her face)

I called them up and insulted them using the name "Kramer" The guy was goin on about how he never made fun of her, but anyone who had listened to their show for the past hour knows that they were laughing at her and making cruel jokes. I insulted them, calling them idiots and such, telling them that they had no hearts if they just made fun of that lady, and the guy screamed at me "YOU dont know anything about me!" I said "I know your a drug addict and a scumbag."

The guy responded with "Its not an addiction, its a disease!"

I responded with "Bullshit its a disease. Go cry moar!"

I then was disconnected, but it felt like I hurt that asshole. I mean, who makes fun of someone who went through that? Assholes just did it to get some more views. Only about 10 people listen to their show anyway.

What's your moment?

You basically just did the same thing as the other guys did to the lady, with a few alterations:

The guy said he was sorry, so in my opinion he was unhappy about what he did and regretted it (then again, I wasn't there)

You had the right to own him; he should have been.

That was a dick move on the part of the asshole, the lady didn't do anything to him, they made fun of her.

His fault for drugs.

he wasnt sorry because I was home just sitting in my car for about 2 minutes talking, but I turned on the radio and they were still making fun of her.

I wouldn't call than an "own." You just shouted at the guy. There's a difference between being a loud angry mofo and being masterful.

Based on your choice of words ("idiot", "bullshit", "go cry moar"), I'd say you made just about as much an ass of yourself as he did. I agree it was a bit callous of him, but there's no reason to stoop to his level. You can still bring forth your point in a civilized manner.

Edit: I giggled a bit at the people who just read the topic title and replied without checking out the post. Har har. Fallout 3.

Haha! You did own him, and with good reason. Guy's an asshole, like you said.

Agree if thats an own moment its really pretty lame more like a petty insult.

i didnt shout at him at all. I critized them, and they deserved to be called idiots/assholes because of what they said. Still an own moment. Not to mention, I think that if your able to make them have to hang up and make the guy SCREAM at the top of his lungs to me, hes the petty one.

fallout 3 is good. but honestly, if he was gonna stoop low, ill follow him there. I didn't scream or use vulgar language, I just kind of told him what I'm sure they 8 other people listening to his show were thinking. I like to say "You fight on your enemies' battlefield, not your own." And the guy was almost crying near the end with his disease

"That girl has a lisp. Haha."
"You're an addict, shut up."

When you own someone it has to be witty or ironic. An irrelevant ad hominem attack isn't intentionally either - aside from the inherent irony of fighting fire with fire. I could be wrong, but it's just a "meh" moment to me.

The insult itself wasn't anything to be proud of.

Against computer: Taking out that camera dude in Dead Rising with a sledgehammer in one hit. "HEy! youre in the way of my *splash*"

Against people: Metal Gear Online with the shotgun. It had just been beefed up from a patch (making it only SLIGHTLY less powerful than all other guns) and I entered a building. I got surrounded by three people. All three were taken out (it takes 2 shots minimum to kill with the shotty which only has 5 shells, so I reloaded mid-fight) when 2 more came in and I killed one and that last one killed me as I killed him. So, 4 kills and a kill/death with a gun that can only kill 2 without needing to reload. One of the enemies congratulated me on my victory too ^_^. Also, I didnt use the shotgun glitch.

never said the insults were top notch, but i had little to go on using the name of Kramer. and i wasnt going for wit, i was doing what you said, fighting fire with fire. the fire managed to make him have to hang up on him and him screaming, while i was calm and almost laughing. I think that if you can make someone get that far, you owned 'em. and not to mention, the guy brought it on himself. and the guy is just a general asshole. he is constantly making unfunny jokes, and calls his co-worker whore. man i miss howard stern

I dunno, winning a duel with only a gauntlet?

Depends. There's a lot of vocal ownage on Diablo when I shit on kids who have to pretend to know people at Blizz, or talk about their other characters that they don't really have, or talk about their nonexistent girlfriends and shit, when all it does is ruin the game for the rest of us...

getting an open season and killtacular in the same game. Better yet, it was on my friend's Xbox 360. I don't have one and I rarely get a chance to play so it was a big owning moment for me.

Either that or forcing two Hard AIs to surrender in Sins of a Solar Empire.
