I love RPGs, but when i play them.. i like to actually.. well, role play

Did you RP with fallout? or just be good simply for the sake of it was what the quest required (honestly what human would traipse across the wasteland to look for some old ladies damn violin, for no reward)? If you did RP, what was your characters story?

For me my Ffirst character was neutral.. too selfish too be good (why should i help you for the sake of it? its a tough wasteland), and really hated characters being condescending or disrespectuful (killed a lot of brotherhood outcast!) but not downright evil

I chose to side with president eden, as the fev virus sounded like thing (how could no more super mutants be bad?) she also was kindof bigoted towards ghouls, especially after a "misunderstanding" in the underworld

Anyway, turns out the aqua cura is actually poisonous.. My karma was plunged to very evil.. now i was set on maintaining the neutral karma - for achievements and to be a bit differant.. so i set about doing good tasks..) this wasnt really in her character but i decided she would feel guilty after what she did and try and right a few wrongs.. when i went to oasis i chose the option to accelerate harold as it would make the wasteland green again (and with no mutants, things could be normal again)- rather than chosing the option which gives the best reward..

Im also reluctant to continue the main quest with my evil character as he hates his dad so why would he help him??

I always save before doing a quest with 2 ways to do it, try both ways, and pick whichever one gave me better stuff or more caps.

But I'm mostly evil, cuz i take stuff when i want it, kill those roaming traders after getting them to repair my stuff, etc.

My one and only character was a madman who ran around naked weilding a power fist and punched everything.

I am Jack. Actually, I'm a long succession of Vault-related Jacks who wander the wastelands in search of all the funny parts. I like exploring, and I like doing funny things to Raiders. Also, for the love of god, it's just funny as hell you murder giant hordes of Mole-Rats with a STICK.

I'm also engaged in a paper/pencil Fallout RPG game, featuring Rusty "Particle Board" Jr. as the Lone Wanderer, and myself as a spy claiming to be from Vault 69. I am super James Bond sneaky and I have Bloody Mess engaged.

He was born; he lived; he died. Turned into goo by oh-so-horrible radioactivity. But he did so while finally realizing Benjamin Franklin.

BOS Paladin sent on lone missions to clear previously BOs occupied areas of enemy threats and then give downed Knights the respect they deserve with a military line up of them with their weapons next to them and a bundle of 10mm bullets as a grave and callsign to any wanderers that there is good in the Wasteland

Feeling suppressed by the constant ceilings hanging over her head, day-in, day-out, Kira felt frustrated, compartmentalized, her potential unrealized. Taking the first chance she could, she took off out of Vault 101. Leaving behind any feelings of regret sealed tight in that underground prison, she venture out to find the truth of the new world. She visited filthy scraps of civilizations blindly holding tight onto to their set of "morals." The decaying Megaton, the disgusting Paradise Falls, the insufferable Rivet City, she could not find what she was looking for.

But then a random encounter with a stranger, a swanky dressed individual, changed her whole life. He offered her a offer.. no he offer her a path to her fate. And with a press of a button a sight was witnessed that had not been witnessed for decades. Her path was clear, the unimaginable blinding light showed the way, a light that cleansed part of the wasteland of its disease-ridden inhabitants. From that moment forth, she was no longer was Kira, she was the Angel of Death, the Guardian of Salvation.

She traveled across the DC ruins, across the barren wasteland, dealing out justice with no sense of any petty morals to obscure her way. At one point in her life, she saw the wasteland with unclouded eyes. A mutation perhaps? That was irrelevant, it was green, beautiful and it was the future that she saw in her dreams. Truly this must have been the truth that she was seeking. She sowed the seeds of this truth hoping for change, but even then change came far too slow. This was not what she was seeking. She ventures on.

Ultimately following the path of her father, she sought the waters of life. Within those waters, she found the carrier that would bring forth not President Eden's will, but her own across all the lands, she finally had a carrier to cleanse the rotten world, and make it beautiful again. In the end, she died fighting against the world. History books will describe Kira as evil, cruel, and murderous, but the Angel of Death knew all the way to the end of her life that she fought not for her own sake, but for everyone else's. She died believing in this truth, and nothing else.

Yes, I like to role playing, and no, I'm not a psychotic serial murder. *twitch*

So, there I was, the last best hope of humanity. And then, that little bastard child in rivet city was just begging for a nuke to the head, and when I killed everyone BUT him, I never played again. I hate not being able to kill urchins.

I normally RP as a guy that hates gouls, and supports slavery but generally does good, keeps the old karma level pretty neutral...

Oh there's also the fact he's a raging alcoholic..

My guy...

And I'm talkin' about the Dude here--
sometimes there's a man who, wal,
he's the man for his time'n place,
he fits right in there--and that's
the Dude, in Fallout 3

Remember... The Dude abides.

She gives you a tremendously powerful unique Scoped .44 Magnum if you return the violin. It's the most powerful Small Guns-class weapon in the vanilla Fallout 3.
[sub]Also, greatest avatar ever.[/sub]
No, you have to give her a music paper book for that.

Yep, luckily one of the music books is very easy to acquire.

And what do you mean no reward? I consider listening to some nice violin to be a good reward.
