Your favorite, blue, fast paced *gasp* weasle?

How many of you know that our favorite blue hedgehog was origonally a weasle? I mean, could you imagine? What do you think would happen if Sonic was a weasle?

He used to be a rabbit at some point. He was going to pick up objects and throw them at enemies, but that was deemed too complex at the time.

Funny how years later this was implemented in Sonic 2006...and it sucked (but so did the rest of the game).

At one point, he was almost a dog as well. And several other things. I think they talk about that stuff in some of the Sonic collections.
