So, in your opinion, what is your favorite boss battle

Mine has to be...

The Final Boss of Shadow of the Colossus, it was REALLY epic and made you with an emotional battle

No more Heroes 2, really rewarding when I finsihed, all of them were great, especially number 6. Also The Boss, from MGS3.

Ganon from OoT. Dat atmosphere. With the music and the thunderstorm and the wall of fire and the darkness, that's basically a perfectly designed boss fight.

If only the actual fighting was a little harder.

Whenever any of these threads comes up, I'm one of those who always puts down exactly the same thing: Yuyuko Saigyouchi from PCB. And it's something I can't really explain without saying 'just play it and you'll understand'.

Shenmue 2 bosses in general. It felt like you were Ryu, having to actually use what you had learned from ass-kickings in the beginning to kicking asses by the end. LOVED IT.

Toss up between first time fighting Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts (that entrance is awesome, and if you don't know what you're getting into...), Ruby and Emerald from Final Fantasy VII, and Omega from Final Fantasy VIII. Those last three are sheer powerhouses that, once again, if you don't know what you're getting into...

For the weirdest boss fight, I'm going with Psycho Mantis, and you all know why.

I consider the Rift-Worm level to be a huge ass boss fight. You're inside of the freaking think, cutting arteries from the hearts of the freaking Rift-Worm with your chainsaw bayonet and it's just...it's just great.
