I'm going to keep this short because it's getting a little late. What is the ending that made you feel satisfied with the game or made you get ready for the next sequel?

Please place your videos in the spoiler tags.

Persona 4: Golden bonus ending.
<youtube=d9OfSgyeelk>
It's so simple, bright and kind-hearted. No cliff-hanger bullshit, no sudden new threat, just you, and your friends, who you could see changed so much during the game, having warm reunion. Awesome.

The ending to Persona 4 was amazing. None of this Golden crap either, it ends with just you, a train and a photo. Best ending EU.

Oh and Mass Effect 2's ending was such a criminally good cliffhanger... It rounds off the Collector side of the story then slaps you with a cliffhanger 5 seconds before the credits.

BlazBlue CSEX has a good True Ending. The general gist of it is, Hazama wins everything even though he lost. Because #Hazamaswag. Best villain EVER MADE!

Oh come on! what's wrong with Golden's epilogue?

Portal 2's ending really hit home for me. Satisfying, all the characters rounded off, nearly tied up and that one really badass part... You know the one I mean...

I liked the ending to Final Fantasy VII.

Sephiroth is defeated. The meteor is still coming. Aerith's holy tries and fails to stop it and the planet's lifestream combines with holy to destroy the meteor thus saving everyone. Then it cuts to hundreds of years later where we see Red and his kids looking out over a Midgar that has been transformed into a forest. It was a good and satisfying conclusion.

Nothing I guess, but the Persona 4 ending was already perfect adding more is unnecessary...

Well, maybe, I've never played original Persona 4, so my point of view might be a little different. I loved how in epilogue, through just redesigns they've shown how much everyone changed through the course of the story (Naoto accepted her feminine side, Kanji didn't try to look like a badass anymore etc)

Probably nothing, but you can't improve upon perfection :3

Oh fuck it, i'll try for a Vita for my birthday. This Golden edition better be worth the hype dammit. I'm dropping my Courage, Diligence, Knowledge, Understanding and Swag back down to zero in Golden T_T

"You tried to ask Chie for her phone number in the most alluring and mysterious way possible, but since you don't have enough Swag you ask nervously like a wuss."

I'm going to say Portal. It left a cliffhanger (as set up in the end credits song), but still gave you the satisfaction of killing GLaDOS. And the cliffhanger couldn't have been set up better, as the producers could really do whatever they wanted with the next game, and still keep continuity.

It was perfect. The ending song wasn't as good as Still Alive but I liked the ending itself more than the original Portal. It was hilarious, chaotic, and incredibly satisfying.

Chie cares not for swag, just offer her some good, juicy steak, help her train, and just be a good guy... but hey, it's too late for you anyway, since she's mine!

I really couldn't tell if you will enjoy Golden as much as I did, since, as I said, I've never played original Persona 4. But tell you what. I've played both Persona 3 FES and Persona 3: Portable and If they'll release Persona 3: Golden or something, with all the added stuff, I'll be ALL OVER THAT SHIT!

I gotta go with this.

~That Part~ is just epic, I think it's impossible to not smile from ear to ear at Portal 2's ending.

Going to have to go with Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhall. It was just a satisfying conclusion to a fantastic series of games and a plot that spanned (more or less) three games. It's hard to end a trilogy right, very hard. By the point you're to the end most players are so thoroughly invested in their characters a plot that anything less than perfection tends to be seen as a betrayal, one need look no further than Mass Effect for an example of things gone wrong.

But Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhall? It did it right. Good ending to an amazing series of rpg.

Dragon's Dogma has multiple endings, but while most milti ending games have two or three endings, Dragon's Dogma has eight. Most of them don't actually end the game, just the current arc, like with the dragon itself. The true ending though blew my mind and demonstrated to me that Capcom can write quite well when they put their minds to it.

Oh, almost forgot. Bastion. That game had an amazing ending. An ending so good it took an already great game and made it truly spectacular. Add to that the amazing credits score and it was just a fantastic experience through and through.

I still regularly listen to the credits score today. A perfect way to end the game!

I have to agree wholeheartedly with this. Dragon's Dogma has not just one, but several well written endings. Made all the better by how unexpectedly awesome the final boss of the game is. While the final boss in and of itself is still very much the same, the final boss is never the same person. It really is pretty amazing.

Final Fantasy IX's ending:

Pure perfection.

Shadow of the Colossus gets an honorable mention as well.
