What is your favorite game that uses the first person perspective?

For me, it is Metroid Prime. It is easily one of the most immersive games I have ever played. I also love the atmosphere, story, enemies, and the amazing soundtrack.

Hmm, hard to say... I played Skyrim entirely in 3rd person, so that doesn't count...
I usually don't do first person, so let's make a list...

Painkiller
Bulletstorm
Everquest (back during the first 5 or so expansions, when I first played it as a kid with my mom, 1st person was the defualt viewpoint, and how I played. Now I don't know if I could do a first person MMO, lol)

It's ArmA II for me. I like the realism. That, and you can free look independently of the gun. That's just plain cool! I've already made it through each campaign once, and I am on another play-through of each on the hardest difficulty.

The First Resistance game on PS3.

Bulletstorm comes in a close second just by how amazingly fun that game is compared to other shooters.

In all fairness, Fallout 3 and New Vegas can be first OR third and I actually use both.

Borderlands or Battlefield 3.

I love the "cartoony" aesthetic of Borderlands and the fun arcade like shooter style it has.

I like Battlifield 3 because it's fast paced action (minus the bullshit CoD has).

Fallout 3. There is just something about that game that regardless of the faults, I love it. I don't care what it's detractors' think or about the bastardization of the lore; I love that game too much to give a damn.

There is nothing like walking across the Capital Wasteland as 'I don't wanna set the world on Fire' plays in the background.

Daggerfall.

I'm a sucker for depth, so had I played System Shock II or Stalker, they would have likely ended up my choice.
Oh, Deus Ex applies too I guess.

Thief series. Thief 2 to be more precise. Nothing beats its atmosphere.

I also like Deus Ex : Invisible war quite a lot.
I'm not sure why it's despised so much - trying to beat it with as "Infiltrator" (as low bodycount as possible) or "Ghost" (is someone there ?) is fun.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic by far.

Melee, magic, archery, stealth - it's all fluid and spectacularly animated. Skyrim is a hack job in comparison.

Bioshock, because the first person perspective actually contributes to the narrative and the twist, which everybody has seen by now.

I play my Bethesda games from 1st person so i guess the list would look like this:
-Oblivion
-Skyrim
-Fallout: NV
-Deus Ex: HR
they are in no order, also you might see that i'm more of a modern gamer

Return to Castle Wolfenstein. The most fun I have ever had with a FPS.
Okay and I guess Halo 2 would be runner up.
