Mind would probably be Haunting Ground for the PS2 or "Demento" as it's called in Japan.
Basically, you play as a teenage girl named Fiona who wakes up to find herself inside a castle. Not many people actually live there. But the ones who do actively pursue you. Each one having different reasons for doing so.
There's no weapons, no fighting, you're just a busty blonde who's scared and confused, and all she has at her disposal are a dog named Hewie, and her wits.
Throughout the game, you'll find yourself trying to solve puzzles in order to progress while staying ahead of your stalker who can randomly show up at nearly any time. When they do find you, you'll need to have Hewie distract them while you run away and use various places to hide. Such as closets and beds.
You also don't have a traditional health bar, instead, Fiona slowly starts to panic the longer she's around a stalker. When she completely panics, the screen and music become distorted, Fiona becomes much harder to control, and one hit from a stalker will do you in. Followed by the sounds of them ripping you apart off-screen as you get sent back to the main menu.
The game is quite scary to me. Very few horror games I've seen actually make it so you can't really fight back. Well, besides Amnesia of course.
The game's music is also very atmospheric and spooky.
And of course, each stalker has their own theme, which gets faster the closer they are to you:
I'd really like to have this game. But it looks like it's pretty darn rare, as people are charging over $100 for it on Amazon.
Even if I did have that kind of disposable income, a part of me kinda is too afraid to play this kind of game. Just the thought of being trapped inside a dark, empty castle, with someone stalking me throughout just freaks me out. X(
